Hi John,

Under Global Settings > General Settings > GUI, I use "Scroll Wheel Changes Spacing. With 'Shift' Scrolls Chart", and a Scroll Multiplier of 1.00. However, I have found that changing the Scroll Multiplier doesn't make a difference in terms of how much it zooms in and out by (bar spacing). I actually just realized that it was only intended to effect scroll of the chart and not bar spacing as mentioned in Scroll Multiplier Not Working for Sierra Chart | Post: 277271 It would be cool if there was a multiplier setting that could control the bar spacing as well.

Thanks

We have noted the request to have the "Scroll Multiplier" (or another setting) that allows for controlling how much the Bar Spacing is adjusted with the scroll wheel.

We can not say when we would get to any particular request.

Hi John,

Is there a hot key (or control button) to do a quick one-step Max Zoom in (show only one bar on chart) or Max Zoom out (max bars allowed on chart)?

Currently, I am using PageUp and PageDown keys to change bar spacing and pagedown key (for zoom out) is 3 times slower than pageup key for zoom in.

There is not a keyboard shortcut or control bar button for "Max Zoom In" or "Max Zoom Out". We have added this to the Fature List as well.

The closest available option is the "Zoom In" tool. Refer to the following:

We are not sure what you are stating with the PageUp/PageDown keys. When we tried this to see if there is a difference, we see the exact same "steps" for each "Page Up" and "Page Down" key press. For example, if we have a chart and then select "Page Up" 5 times and then select "Page Down" 5 times, we end up at the exact bar spacing as the chart was originally.

Thanks John. I will look forward to see the max zoom in/out feature added. Regarding pageup/down, let’s ignore as it is not worth your time. Continuous pressing of pageup button towards max zooming is a slower operation compared to pagedown for zoom out… not a big deal.

+1 for the original request of the scroll/spacing multiplier.

Not sure if it fits the ask, but I use "> Chart > Reset Bar Size/Spacing/Scale" to max zoom out. It has a control bar button too.

We will get these new settings added to a near term upcoming release.

There will be commands, keyboard and control bar buttons to set the chart bar spacing to a specified, maximum and minimum.

And also a multiplier for small changes for chart bar spacing.
