First, you need to activate the exchange for which you want the data. You can do so from the following page: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges Then, you need to connect to your Tradovate account. Yes, this is correct. You need to pay for the exchange(s) for which you want to get the real-time data. what about for professional?
If you are considered a professional, then you would need to activate the exchanges that are marked as for a Professional. These are much more expensive than the non-professional, but they do not require that you connect to a live trading account at least once a month. ok so in summary - i am paying data fees as a pro at tradovate and in order to get live data here at SC for charting, i need to pay more data fees? so essentially im paying double for the same live data from CME?

before i pay more fees for data i just wanted to make sure im doing this right. :) is this correct? would there be any way to connect the data feed from tradovate to SC? Thanks for your help! |

If you are getting the data from Tradovate through CQG, then you can use that connection for data in Sierra Chart, although if you are also accessing the data to another source then you may need to pay again for the data to allow multiple connections with CQG. Also, be aware of the information regarding CQG data in Sierra Chart at the second bullet point at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer2351 Overall, we recommend getting the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. what is CQG? .. i just bought the CME data package (depth of market, lvl2) directly through tradovate. i think their parent company is dorman if that helps. i only trade /es and /nq. i already paid for the SC package 11. please advise most efficient way to access live data on SC? can we chat over the phone? |

CQG is an Order Routing company. Clearing Firms will engage their services in order to actually place the trade on exchange. They also provide market data. Before we can go any further we need to understand how your account is setup with Tradovate. Are you setup to use CQG for your order routing, or is your order routing performed through some other mechanism? Once we know the answer to the above, then we can direct you properly from there.
