For some reason when I try to load my charts the symbol is wrong. I cannot find YMZ1, when I type it in as a symbol it says that there is an error. Am I doing something wrong?

YMZ1 is not enough to define the symbol. Although every service uses a different symbol methodology, so what you will need to type in is dependent on what your trading service is set to. The way to deal with this is to use the File >> Find Symbol window to find the symbol you are looking for and select it from within that window. That way, you will get the symbol as your specific trading service needs it. To help you along, the YM is going to be under the CBOT section in the Find Symbol window. Refer to the following for how to work with the Find Symbol window: File Menu: Find Symbol (File) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

According to our servers, your service is set to SC Data - All Services. If this is correct, then when you open the Find Symbol window, you will first need to expand the section for Futures - CBOT. Within that expanded area, scroll down and find the entry for YM?##-CBOT. Expand that entry to see the individual contracts. Select the contract you want to open and then select the Open Historical Chart or Open Intraday Chart depending on which chart you want. Yes, I have done all of that but there is no option for YMZ1, I only have YMZ21. Is there somewhere else I can find just the YMZ1

YMZ21-CBOT is the correct symbol given that your Service is set to SC Data - All Services. You would only need to use the 1 digit year if you were connected to TransAct.

Refer to the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TransAct.php#SetupInstructions Once you have done this, then you will see the YM showing as YMZ1 in the Find Symbols window. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-11-17 19:13:46
