Hello Sierra Chart Support,

I'm evaluating Sierra Chart for personal research and backtesting of a futures strategy on Eurex FDAX and NYMEX CL. I'm a beginner and want to verify the requirements before purchasing a service package.

1. May I export trade lists, entry/exit times, prices and performance statistics generated by my own ACSIL study, for analysis in my own software on the same computer? I do not intend to redistribute raw market data.

2. Is historical FDAX intraday and tick data from 2010 onward available with Service Package 3 or 5 without additional exchange fees, provided I only require historical/delayed data?

3. Does Service Package 3 support ACSIL custom studies, Remote Build and Auto Trade System Back Testing?

4. For NYMEX CL, from which year is historical tick-by-tick data with bid/ask traded volume available? The historical-data documentation mentions both 2011 and approximately 2013.

5. For Eurex FDAX, from which date is historical tick-by-tick data with bid/ask traded volume reliably available? Does the historical dataset reflect extended trading hours introduced in December 2018?

6. Are Bar Based Back Test results deterministic when repeated with identical chart data, settings and software version?

7. Can ACSIL access historical volume-at-price and bid/ask traded volume during a backtest? Are there any limitations that would prevent accurate historical volume-profile and footprint calculations?

8. For future use, can an ACSIL study output only derived trade signals and risk decisions to a separate application on the same computer, without exporting raw exchange market data? Are there licensing or technical restrictions we should know about?

Thank you for your assistance.

1. Yes.

2. Refer to the information in this section:
Sierra Chart Historical Data Service: What is Included

Any package has access to the historical data we have available.

3. Yes. There is no dependency on the package and the ability to use a custom study.

4. See the link given in #2 above.

5. See the link given in #2 above.

6. Yes.

7. The same information is available during a backtest as during live data receipt, depending on the type of backtest being performed.

8. You are not allowed to export the raw data, or any representation of the data that can easily be manipulated to determine the raw data. Other than this, you can export whatever you want and there is nothing additional you need to do.
