I have internet connection but I am unable to place any trades on either the trade dom or the trade window. The Sierra Chart program doesn't seem to recognize my placement of a trade??? What could be the problem? Thank you for your attention

We need more information on what exactly is occurring. What happens when you try to place a trade? What exactly do you see? Are you getting any kind of message, and if so, what does it state? Is this in Simulation Mode or with live trading? After this occurs, please get us your "Trade Service Log" by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Lines From Trade Service Log For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

this problem affected both live and simulated trading. No there was never a message attached when I tried to place a trade. What I did was instaall a previous version and it still didn't work so I then reinstalled the current version and then I closed my Sierra Charts and reopened it and it seems to be back in working order. I will try to send you the screen shots I took of my previous version installation and then two other screen shots with my final version being version 12. I , but it seems ok now. Thank you I appreciate your promptness in responding to my problem. I really don't know what the problem was.

The error message you are getting is "Windows error 32" which means "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process". In those images, you have a Sierra Chart running behind the installation window. You need to ensure that the Sierra Chart instance and any sub-instances from that main instance you are updating, are all not running. It is best to just ensure that all Sierra Chart installations are not running, and then start just the main instance for the one you want to update (close any sub-instances that you may have set to automatically start) and then select "Help >> Download Current Version" to start the update.
