I have another question about bid/ask imbalances.

Is Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 the correct study to use for displaying bid/ask imbalances, or should I instead configure the imbalance settings directly in Numbers Bars?

Which method do you recommend for displaying standard footprint bid/ask imbalances?

thank you very much

Hello,

I am using Sierra Chart Version 2922 with Service Package 11.

I have a few questions:

1. Where do I set the imbalance volume threshold in Numbers Bars? Specifically, I am referring to Column 1 Percent Compare Thresholds.
2. If I want to highlight a 3:1 imbalance, what value should I use for the Percent Compare Threshold? Should I set it to 200, 250, or 300?
3. Is Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 the correct study to display bid/ask imbalances, or is there another study that should be used for footprint imbalances?
4. With Service Package 11, how should I configure the Denali Exchange Data Feed to obtain the highest quality historical tick data for accurate backtesting of the E-mini S&P 500 (ES) from 2016 to 2024? Are there any recommended settings for data storage, symbol configuration, or continuous contracts?

Thank you very much for your help.

1. In the Numbers Bars study, you would set the "Percent Compare Thresholds" to be "0, 0, 3". Refer to the following:
Numbers Bars: Display Ask/Bid Imbalance

2. See above.

3. You can use either the Volume by Price Threshold Alert V2 or the Numbers Bars. It just depends on how you want to view the information.

4. The only thing you need to do is to ensure that your "Intraday Data Storage Time Unit" is set to "1 Tick". Refer to the following;
Data/Trade Service Settings: Intraday Data Storage Time Unit (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Settings)

Thank you very much. I will check what you told me. However, before I can do that, I need to renew my Sierra Chart service package.

I am trying to pay with my PostePay Evolution card, but I cannot figure out how to add funds to my Sierra Chart account. I have been trying for the past two days.

Could you please send me the link to add funds to my Sierra Chart account balance?

Thank you very much

All of the options for how to add funds to your account are on our Payments page at the following link:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=AddAccountCredit#MoveToTop

We are not certain if our Payment Processors take PostePay Evolution, but we would recommend trying the option of "Pay with Stripe" to try and see if it works. They will have the best chance of that card working.

Good evening, I have a question. I would like to display bid/ask imbalances using the Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 study instead of Numbers Bars. Could you please tell me the correct settings to configure it? Thank you very much in advance

There are no "correct" settings. As with any study, you need to set it up for your particular needs. The documenation for the "Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2" is at the following link:

Hello,

I am using Sierra Chart with a 5-minute Numbers Bars chart on ES.

I am seeing a behavior that I would like to understand because I am not sure whether it is normal.

Example:

While the current 5-minute Numbers Bar is the 19:10 bar and is still forming, I can already see Bid x Ask values displayed in the position of the next bar, 19:15.

However, on this apparent 19:15 bar I only see the Bid/Ask Numbers Bars values; the actual candlestick/body has not formed yet.

Then, when the 19:10 bar closes, those Bid/Ask values that were displayed at 19:15 disappear. The actual 19:15 Numbers Bar then starts again from zero and begins building normally.

The same behavior repeats on every new 5-minute bar.

My chart settings are:

* Bar Period Type: Days-Mins-Secs-Milliseconds Per Bar
* Bar Period Value: 0-5-0
* Split Data Records: Yes
* Trades Combining Method: None
* Session Start Time: 08:00:00
* Session End Time: 22:14:59
* Use Evening Session: No
* New Bar At Session Start: Yes
* Intraday Data Storage Time Unit: 1 Tick
* Numbers Bars: Bid Vol x Ask Vol

I have attached a screenshot showing the issue.

Could you please confirm whether this behavior is expected, and explain why Bid/Ask values are temporarily displayed in the next 5-minute bar before the current bar has closed?

If this is not expected, which setting should I change to make the Numbers Bars stay synchronized with the actual 5-minute bar?

Thank you.

Most likely that is the Pullback column that you have displayed there. In the Numbers Bars settings look at the column information for the "Pullback Column".
