Hello, I am using Numbers Bars and Spreadsheet Study. SG4 (Price at Minimum Highlight) and SG5 (Price at Maximum Highlight) always return 0 in Spreadsheet Study. Settings: - Highlight Minimum Value In = Column 1 - Highlight Maximum Value In = Column 1 - Ignore Zero Values for Minimum Highlight = Yes - Intraday Data Storage Time Unit = 1 Tick Numbers Bars displays visible yellow highlight boxes on the chart, but SG4 and SG5 remain 0. Question: Are the visible highlight boxes supposed to populate SG4 and SG5? If not, which Numbers Bars highlight type generates values for SG4 and SG5? Thank you. |

I was just looking at these seeing if these settings could plot lines... but I could not get anything to plot for SG4 & SG5 Are you able to get these to be visible in any way on the chart other than the in the columns? The values do show in the chart values window... They do show up in 2 text displays for study set to sg4 & sg5 But, 0.00 in the chart values window.. They do show up when adding a sub-graph study ADD and set it to sg4 and leave the amount at zero . So I asked this: Footprint Numbers Bars Highlight Minimum/Maximum Lines width/color Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-06-15 02:18:51

The only thing we can say is that the subgraphs for the Numbers Bars are a bit different due to how the Numbers Bars is setup. The Minimum/Maximum values for the current bar should be available. We do see that previous bars sometimes show values and sometimes do not. It is best to use a "Study Subgraph Reference" to get the information for these items. Thank you. Just to make sure we understand correctly: You mentioned that previous bars sometimes show values and sometimes do not. Does this mean that: * Price at Minimum Highlight * Price at Maximum Highlight are not intended to be reliable historical data series for all historical bars? Or should these values normally be available for historical bars as well? We are planning to export several years of data for analysis, so we need to know whether these two fields can be relied upon for historical data. If these values are not intended to be reliable historically, is there another recommended way to obtain reliable historical Minimum/Maximum Highlight data? Thank you. |

We do not know why they are not holding the historical data properly, therefore, you can not rely on this for getting the historical data. There is no other good method to get the Minimum/Maximum values from a Numbers Bars study except to create a custom study to access the Volume at Price data directly. Refer to the following: ACSIL Programming Concepts: Accessing Volume at Price Data Per Bar https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartStudyAndSystemProgrammers.php For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
