Hi - I'm trying to load the CME BTC contract. I want to load the intraday chart going back 400 days with continuous future roll. These load for other products, but for BTC and microBTC it seems like I can only go back to January 2026. Is there anything I can do to load more days or is it a Denali feed limitation? |

We have data going back to December 28, 2017 for BTC, which is when that product launched. We have data going back to May 4, 2021 for MBT (Micro Bitcoin Futures), which is also when that product launched. And we are not seeing any issue with creating a Continuous Futures Contract for either of these products. What is your "Days to Load" to set to? And what is your "Continous Contract" set to? Days loaded set to 400, continuous contract set to "continuous futures contract - volume based rollover" Oddly when I load the older expired contracts they load, but the continuous contract feature doesn't seem to be working when I load the front month. |

Please do the following for us: - With the BTC chart active that is not working properly, select "Chart >> Duplicate Chart to Chartbook". - On the duplicate window that comes up, set "Create New Chartbook" to "Yes". Then select OK to duplicate the chartbook to a new chartbook. - Select "File >> Save All" to ensure the chartbooks are saved. - Note the name of the new chartbook that was created with that one chart in it. - Select "File >> Close All Chartbooks". - Select "Window >> Message Log". - On the Message Log window select "Edit >> Clear Message log". - Select "File >> Open Chartbook", and open the chartbook that contains the one chart for BTC in it. - Wait for the data to load. Once the data is fully loaded in that chart, then get us the Message Log by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

We see the following in your log: BTCJ26_FUT_CME [CV] Renko 200t #1 | Date based rollover rule not defined for symbol. Unable to build continuous futures contract chart.
For some reason, the symbol setting for the Rollover Rule for that symbol is incorrect. Please edit the symbol settings for that symbol and set the option for "Rollover Method" to "Default" or select the "Reset to Default" button for it (depending on what version of the software you are running). If that item is already set to the default, then please deselect the option for "Use Custom Symbol Settings Values" and then see if you are able to get the data. Refer to the following for how to edit the Symbol Settings: Global Symbol Settings: Instructions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
