Greetings, I have a delta by volume footprint chart with the number bars calculated values CVD(ID3.SG10) and a regular bar chart with the CVD study (ID3.SG1) both on same session and CVD reset settings. Both graphs are based on a 16 ticks Range bars true format. The following formula in the regular chart on a colour bar based on alert study for a bullish instance works perfectly. =AND(ID3.SG1 < ID3.SG1[-1], L <= L[-1], C > L[-1], (H - C) <= (0.2 * (H - L)), ABS(ID3.SG1 - ID3.SG1[-1]) > 200) When I apply the same formula for a bullish case in the Footprint chart colour bar based on alert study in the following way referencing the relevent ID and subgraph (ID3.SG10) it still works. However it paints the wrong bar in the footprint. =AND(ID3.SG10 < ID3.SG10[-1], L <= L[-1], C > L[-1], (H - C) <= (0.2 * (H - L)), ABS(ID3.SG10 - ID3.SG10[-1]) > 200) Would you be able to let me know what causes this discrepancy and how could it be fixed? Best, Jay |

If the only difference is that the numbers bars study is applied, one thing to check is the offset in the CBBOAC settings. Make sure it's zero.

One of the things we are not understanding is why the subgraph is changing between the two formulas. If they are both referencing the same study type (i.e. both are Numbers Bars Calculated Values) then the actual subgraph that is being referenced will be the same. So we do not understand how it goes from SG1 to SG10. The only reason for something like this is if you are using a "Study Subgraph Reference" as a "middle man" somewhere. Otherwise, as cmet points out, the only other we can see for an issue would be the "Displacement" setting. Refer to the following: Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Displacement For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Good Afternoon John, @cmet, I checked the colour bar based on alert condition offset and it is zero. ID3-Cumilative delta bars volume study of which SG1 is the open. This study is placed in region 2 of a 16 tick true range bar chart. Now, I chnaged SG1 to SG4 as I want to visualize at the close and it works fine. ID3.SG10 : ID3-Number bars calculated values study of which SG10 is cumilative sum of ask volume bid volume. This study is placed in region 2 of my foot print chart. The value format in all the studies was set to 0.1 to be consistent. Note that the CVD values in the Cumilative delta bars volume study and Number bars calculated values study agree. However in the footprint in the current configuration it paints some candles matching those in the other chart with range bars. Still it paints fewer bars compaired to the regular chart. Further advise in this regard is highly appreciated. Sincerely, Jay |

We can not think of a reason for this. Although have you tried doing this with the same study in both charts? I.e. use either a Cumulative Delta Bar - Volume or Numbers Bars Calculated Values in both charts, so you have exactly the same information? If you try the above and still have an issue, then get us those charts by following these instructions (ignore the fact that it asks for 1 chart - we need two in this case, so just do the same thing twice): Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
