Hello,

I’m seeing inconsistent behavior with the Recent Bid Volume / Recent Ask Volume columns in the Chart/Trade DOM across two Sierra Chart installs.

Setup:
  •  Denali Exchange Data Feed
  •  Teton CME Routing (AMP)
  •  Symbol: NQH26

In my main Sierra install, I can do the following and everything works normally:
  1.  Open a DOM for NQH26
  2.  Chart → Chart Settings → Symbol
  3.  Change Tick Size from 0.25 to 1.00

The ladder aggregates to 1.00 and the Recent Bid/Ask columns still populate normally (Screenshot: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1772743312283.png)

However, in a second Sierra install:
  •  With Tick Size = 0.25, Recent Bid/Ask works normally (Screenshot: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1772743101397.png)
  •  When I change Tick Size = 1.00, the Recent Bid/Ask columns go completely blank, even though price and market depth are updating normally. (Screenshot: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1772743135908.png)

I verified:
  •  Same DOM settings (timeout, clear recent bid/ask, etc.)
  •  Same Chart settings (Market Depth Combine Increments in Ticks = 1, Apply Combine Increments in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns = Yes)
  •  Same symbol
  •  Same data feed and routing
  •  Even after deleting Sierra4.config and recreating the DOM manually, the issue remains in the second install.

Is there any install-level setting or data state that would cause Recent Bid/Ask to stop displaying when Tick Size is changed to 1.00 in one install but not another?

Thank you.

Its after recent update to version 2888, its PreRelease so i assume its unstable currently.

I made post regarding that Version 2888 - few bugs

Havent got any response from team but im sure they fix it, they are too perfectionists to leave it like that

Ah that makes sense, thanks for the reply. Makes me feel better as I spent hours trying to fix it before giving up and posting here.

I'll make sure not to update my main instance til it's fixed.

We apologize for the delay on this. The data for these market data columns, is stored according to the original Tick Size of the symbol. When you change the Tick Size in the chart there are inherent problems.

There were recent changes to solve another problem with equities data. So you just need to make sure the chart Tick Size is set to the default and follow the instructions here:

Hi Sierra Team,

Is it possible to implement the function of modifying the tick size to display the recent bid/ask volume? Sometimes, in addition to aggregating tick data, I also hope that when placing orders on the DOM, the stepping can follow the aggregated tick size.

We are not certain what you are asking here.

Refer to the following for how to apply the "Combine Increment in Ticks" to the other columns in the DOM, including the "Recent Bid/Ask" columns:
Chart Settings: Apply Combine Increment in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu)

Sometimes, in addition to aggregating tick data, I also hope that when placing orders on the DOM, the stepping can follow the aggregated tick size.

If we are understanding this correctly, you prefer the ability to modify the Tick Size, so that when you place an order it will be at the aggregated price value instead of in between. For instance, for ES, if you set a Tick Size of 1.00, then you will have prices at whole price increments (6804.00, 6805.00, 6806.00, etc.) and you want to only be able to enter your orders at those prices and not at increments of 0.25 (the standard tick size).

Please verify that we are understanding this correctly.

Yes, I want to place orders only in increments of these integer multiples, but when I change the minimum price increment, the recent bid/ask volume in the DOM no longer displays.

There is not a solution to this. The Tick Size cannot be changed from the default.

Maybe it would help to change the Scale Increment for the main price graph:
