Positions opening at random prices

When I initiate a position it opens at a seemingly random prices. Likewise the bracket orders are far away from the current price. This has happened about half a dozen times this morning so I have stopped trading. This is not slippage or anything since the position prices were never even touched. I have attached a short video clip demonstrating this behavior. Please let me know what this could be and if you need any additional documentation.

Everything in your account looks good, so you should have the correct data.

We can not tell from what you sent, but it looks like you are using a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". If this is the case, then you need to keep in mind that the order is going to be for that entered symbol and not the one you are viewing. The prices could be different and this could be what you are seeing.

Thanks, but no that’s not it. I cross checked the charts. As you can see in the video there is an extremely large difference between where the current price is when I initiate a position and where the position opens, which is basically out in thin air. Any other ideas what the issue could be?

Are you using a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol"? If so, what are the symbols for the Main Symbol of the chart and the Trade and Current Quote Symbol?

We can not think of another reason for what you are seeing - and we would really need to compare the data between the symbols if this is the case. And depending on the Trade And Current Quote Symbol - there could be an issue with that data that is causing the issue.

Yes, charting NQ and trading MNQ. Like I said I cross checked the charts and didn’t see anything but maybe you can see something I missed? I can tell you that the difference in price between where trades were initiated vs where the position opened was considerable, and price never even reached the levels where the position erroneously opened. It happened about a half dozen times.

Please check the setting for "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds". This should be set to "Yes", but we wonder if it is set to "No", and therefore you are getting delayed data.

If it is set to "No", and you are wanting the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, then change this to "Yes", select "OK" to close that window, and then select "File >> Reconnect". You should be fine after this.

But please also tell us what "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" is set to so we can fully understand the situation..
