Hello

Looking at the recent attached window GUI updates, I see some strange behavior on my end:

1) Minimized windows remain visible & active as a small window
2) The thick window border overlapping/covering the text once Window Title Bar Width is reduced
3) Maximized Window --> please bring back the minimize/maximize/close icons to the upper right corner instead of a text in the middle of the menu....

Dear Team,
continuing on the prevoius indication about spome issues on the GUI, kindly have a look also to the following.

Opening the installation (version 2855 and now updated to 2862) I find this anomaly when expanding the charts into the Main Window.
The chart looses the icone to bring it in the original position and I am forced for example ti minimize from the tabs or to tile, to have the inside charts back to the previous positions.
Also, the title bar of the chart windows are different from the usual one in previous installation.

Could you please let me know if there is a specific setting in MS windows or in Sierra to restore the sizing icons in the charts / recover the issue?

I still have othe installations (2788) and here it is normal.

I also updated the 2788 to 2862 and that issue happes as well. So I went bak to 2788.

Please fine here 2 images form version 2862 which show 1) the charts at the opening of the chartbook (used your “example chartbook”) and 2) once I opened a chart in the Main window.
Also fine 2 images from version 2788 where all is fine.

Thank you

1) Minimized windows remain visible & active as a small window

There are options for how the Minimized windows are handled in the latest versions. Refer to the following and the two items below it:
General Settings Window: MDI Child Window Minimize Method (List) (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings)

2) The thick window border overlapping/covering the text once Window Title Bar Width is reduced

This is the stadard border that is around all the windows. There is not a way to change this.

3) Maximized Window --> please bring back the minimize/maximize/close icons to the upper right corner instead of a text in the middle of the menu....

This will not happen. There is too much difficulty with how those act, so the new options are what is available.

The chart looses the icone to bring it in the original position and I am forced for example ti minimize from the tabs or to tile, to have the inside charts back to the previous positions.

We are not certain of what you are trying to state here. The one thing we want to point out is that the order in which the windows are drawn is related to the order of the windows in the "Window >> Windows and Chartbooks" window. Items at the top are drawn first, so as you go down these will be drawn on top.

Also, the title bar of the chart windows are different from the usual one in previous installation.

Sierra Chart is drawing the Title Bar for these windows instead of letting MS Windows handle them. Refer to the following setting and the 3 below it:
Graphics Settings: Window Title Bar

Dear Sir,
thanks for your reply.
I try to explain it better.

with regards to the last two poins of your reply, by installing 2855 and 2862, as I maximize the chart for a specific graph to the entire window of the main window of the chartbook, the buttons to mimnimize, maximize and close the chart graph are not available.
Only those of the main window of the chartbook are stil available. to to minimize the chart graph, the only way is to tile them (horizontally / vertically) or to minimize from the graph tab name space.
I hope it is now better explained.
thank you

The controls for "Minimize", "Restore", and "Close" have moved. They are available, but they are no longer in that upper right corner. With these recent versions in which we redid the MDI child windows, those controls are now in line with the menus and are just to the right of the "Help" menu item. You will see a separator line (|) and then the words "Min", "Res", and "Cls".

You can change the actual wording for each item. Refer to the following and the three settings below it:
General Settings Window: MDI Container Window Child Window Menu Text Separator (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings)
