Hi, I use V2852. Today I spotted a discrepancy between two 5min charts in 2 different instances. I use on both charts the study "Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Text", and the delta value of each bar don't match up. It seems the charts candle close time is out of sync of 1/10 sec or less. During this 1/10 sec, delta volume is not counted in the same bar, resulting in a delta discrepancy. I manage to spot which one of the two 5min chart is the faulty one that has its timer offset. I deleted all the studies except the "Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Text". Problem is still there. I created another brand new 5min chart in the same chartbook as the faulty chart, there is still an offset between the two charts. I tried to fix the problem by doing : - "delete all data and download" - changing chart update interval - changing "Use OS timer for chart" ON/OFF. - Restarting SierraChart - changing "Session start time" - Activating/deactivating NTP client. All this made no difference. I attached the faulty chartbook and a screenshot to show you the problem. Could you please check the chartbook and let me know where the problem is ? This faulty chart is part of a chartbook with a dozen other charts. I would like to be sure only this chart is faulty, and that this bug hasn't affected all the other charts of my chartbook. |

There must be something different in the Chart Settings between these two chart. One item that we see is that you have a 5 minute chart with the bars starting at 1 second after the whole 5 minutes (i.e. 10:20:01, 10:25:01, etc.). We can not see the times in the other chart, so we wonder if these have different Session Times, which would cause this issue. There are any number of other possible places for an issue that you would need to check. Go through the Chart Settings to see what may be different between the charts. Also, we would recommend copying the chart from one installation to the other and see if you it shows differently in that case. If it does, then this would imply a Global setting difference (such as the "Intraday Data Storage Time Unit"), rather than a Chart specific setting. Hi John, Thank you very much for your feedback. Sessions Times are exactly the same on both charts. I compared the Chart Settings of both chart and found the faulty setting : Include Columns With No Data. This setting was activated on the chart starting with a one second offset. Deactivating it fixed the delta discrepancy problem and deleted the 1sec offset. Have a good day ! |
