Hi, I’m unable to place orders for NG on CME (NYMEX) using the TT connection. The orders are getting rejected and Sierra Chart is showing the following message: “TT Futures Order Routing (Order reject). Info: TT order update (Rejected). Text: TT FIX: [Instrument not found by NAME=NGF6 symbol=NG7]SecurityAltID = NGF6, SecurityAltIDSource = 98. Text: Parent order” Can you please check why these NG futures orders are not passing through and confirm if there is a configuration or symbol mapping issue? |

We did some checking, and we do not notice any obvious problem. We think we have the right symbol (just simply NG) but maybe there is some different symbol that TT uses for natural gas?

This is the symbol mapping that exists: <symbol>NG?##_FUT_NYMEX</symbol>
<external-service-symbol>NG?#_NG_FUT_CME</external-service-symbol> The external service symbol, is separated at each part where there is an _. Those four components, are sent to TT in the FIX message. They are set into the appropriate fields. This is just like any other symbol. So why there is a problem we do not know.
