SC2807 Using a simple ES chart and configure 3 spreadsheet studies in this order: ID1: Spreadsheet Study ID2: Spreadsheet System/Alert ID3: Spreadsheet System for Trading All studies have - Settings and Inputs >> Include in Spreadsheet = ON - Settings and Inputs >> Do Not Output Subgraphs Set To Ignore = Yes - SG1-SG4 draw style = Line or Arrow; Include in Spreadsheet = ON - SG5-SG8 draw style = Hidden; Include in Spreadsheet = ON - SG9-SG16 draw style = Ignore; Include in Spreadsheet = ON - SG17-SG60 draw style = Ignore; Include in Spreadsheet = OFF In the spreadsheet for ID2 I can see ID1.SG1 to ID1.SG8 as expected. In the spreadsheet for ID3 I can see ID1.SG1 to ID1.SG8 as expected. However, I would also expect to see in the spreadsheet for ID3 the columns for ID2.SG1 to ID2.SG8, which is not the case. I checked the documentation and could not find any reason why these columns do not appear. Can you please clarify? Thanks! |

Spreadsheet studies do not output themselves to other Spreadsheets. However, a Spreadsheet Study will be outputted to a Spreadsheet System for trading study or Spreadsheet System/Alert Study. But one way to work around this is to Use this study: Study Subgraph Reference Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I propose a feature request to make the SGx outputs of the Spreadsheet System/Alert and Spreadsheet System for Trading available in other spreadsheets, because a) it can be useful to reuse columns in the Spreadsheet System/Alert study in the Spreadsheet System for Trading study, and b) there seems to be no obvious reason why the output is currently not implemented. |

There is another way to do this, but you have to be very careful. What you can do is to setup each study using the same Spreadsheet file. But you need to set each study to use a different Chart Data Output Sheet and Formula Source Sheet. In general, you would want the "Formula Source Sheet" to be the same as the "Chart Data Output Sheet". The best way to do this is to use a "Specification Type" of "By Name" for both of these and use the same name for both for each study. If you do this correctly, then you will have three different sheets in your Spreadsheet File and you can the reference between sheets. Refer to the following: Working with Spreadsheets: References to Other Sheets within a Spreadsheet The reason for not allowing the outputs from the various Spreadsheet Studies to each other is that it would generate a Circular Reference. So it really can not be done. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

The circular reference problem can be avoided if spreadsheet subgraph output is made available only to spreadsheet studies further down in the order of calculation. Aren't such rules already in place, as documented here: Chart Studies: Study Calculation Precedence And Related Issues ? |
