Hello, I have discovered an issue with the DateTime format of the text written to Alert Log files when a certain new setting is enabled. 2. There is an inconsistency with the DateTime field in Chart/Study alert logs, compared to how it displays for other alert types. In order to enable these Alert Logs we first enable this setting: Global Settings > General Settings > Save Alerts Log to File: Yes Now I go ahead and trigger a Chart/Study Alert and the log entry might look like this: Chart/Study Alert with the Study Short Name set: Type: Study | Source: NQZ25_FUT_CME[M] 15 Min #6 | Indices_Charts | short name | Alert Text: Alert - Chart: NQZ25_FUT_CME[M] 15 Min #6 | Study: short name | Formula: =C > 0 is TRUE. | Last Price: 25983.00 | Bar start: 2025-10-31 16:45:00.000 | Bar end: 2025-10-31 16:59:58.115 | Alert: test | DateTime: 2025-10-31 16:45:00 | ChartNumber: 6 | Symbol: NQZ25_FUT_CME | Chartbook: Indices_Charts.Cht Now I will enable a new setting under Global Settings > General Settings > Alerts (Alert 1) > Use User Defined Name Only in Alert Message (for Alert 1): Yes Trigger the same Chart/Study alert and the log entry looks like this: Type: Study | Source: NQZ25_FUT_CME[M] 15 Min #6 | Indices_Charts | short name | Alert Text: test | 2025-11-02 17:51:08 | DateTime: 2025-10-31 16:45:00 | ChartNumber: 6 | Symbol: NQZ25_FUT_CME | Chartbook: Indices_Charts.Cht ---- Observations: 1. In the first Chart/Study Alert, The DateTime field is set to the Bar Start Time and not the current time. I think it should be the current time (in UTC or the Chart Timezone), like it shows when we enable Use User Defined Name Only. This problem only exists with Chart/Study Alert logs, for Chart Drawing Alerts it does get set to the current time in UTC. 2. In the alerts where Use User Defined Name Only is enabled, there are two DateTime entries, one in the timezone of the chart and one in UTC time. I think it makes sense to only have one of these, I would opt to keep the UTC version since we can always convert this back to the chart timezone in ACSIL if necessary. This item extends to Chart/Study alerts, Chart Drawing alerts and Also Symbol alerts, when the setting I spoke of is enabled. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-11-02 23:25:22
