Charts scroll left when I switch away

Whenever I switch tabs within a chartbook and go back to a chart, it's zoomed all the way left and I have to scroll it all the way right to get to the current price bars. It never used to do this but started yesterday. Is there a way to fix this?

There is no reason for this to be occurring. What tabs are you changing between (charts or chartbooks) and how are you making the change?

These are just the tabs (charts) within a single chartbook. For instance, I have a 4H chart, a 15min chart, an 8H chart, and I click on each tab to navigate from chart to chart. Just now, I was on the 15min chart and went to look at the 4H chart and when I went back to the 15 again, it was scrolled all the way to the left and showing early March and I have to scroll right to get to today.

I have had SC for 3-4 years and never experienced this until yesterday. I haven't touched any of the settings in awhile.

There are no settings that have the chart scroll all the way to the left when you change charts. What you are seeing does not make any sense, apart from an accidental button press or selection of some kind that you are not realizing is occurring.

Please attach your chartbook to this thread and we will take a look and see if we can reproduce what you are seeing. Follow these instructions to attach the chartbook:

We are not able to reproduce what you are seeing.

The only thing we can think of that would be related to this is that when you save a chartbook the chart will be saved such that when you open it again, it will open to the same position. So if the chart was scrolled all the way to the left and the Chartbook saved, when you open that chartbook and go to that chart, it will be scrolled all the way to left still.

Thanks. Do you think there's any possibility that it would have to do with computer or computer screen settings? I didn't change those either, but I did briefly take my computer off the dock yesterday. I've done that many times and didn't have this issue either though...

It's a computer, so you never know what item might affect something. But, in general, no, this would be very surprising to us.

We just really do not know. The one thing we would say to try is to duplicate the charts to another chartbook and see if you have the same issue with the new chartbook. If you do not, then continue with that new chartbook and remove the old chartbook.

Hi, I am following back up on this to let you know it still isn't working. One thing I am noticing (screenshot attached) is that here in the middle of the my chart, the bars to the right are not showing. I have already gone into the setting to Allow data in unlocked fill space. I have to scroll for bars to appear rather than these just showing up on my screen.

It looks like you have the option for "Lock Fill Space" enabled. Refer to the following:
