Hello,

I am trying to link three charts so that the time axis is the same scale for each chart. This is easy enough when using time bars by using the linking function (bar spacing), but in my charts that use volume bars, since each chart has a different total volume per bar, I am not sure if it is possible.

Can you think of a way to do this? Ive attached a picture. Time bars are on the right (with linked x-axis scale), and volume bars are on the right (with x-axis that doesnt perfectly match)

You need to use Chart Linking for this:
Working With Charts: Chart Linking

And then you link the Scroll Position.

Yeah, Ive linked the scroll but the time periods still dont line up.

Shouldnt this be theoretically impossible? Since volume bars mean the x-axis is volume defined....having multiple markets line up with the same time periods would mean two of the charts would have to have irregular bar spacing.

yeah, I think I would have to use time bars if I wanted to have them line up exactly.

Yes, it is impossible to get them to line up exactly.

When you link the Scroll Position in Sierra Chart, it is going to find the closest, or containing, times to line up the charts. But since the times are different, you can not line up exactly as you are stating.
