Is there any way to get the Standard Deviation for the Sample (N-1) calculation? Currently, the only study offered by SC is for the whole population. Or can I use this study with some other study to get a sample one.

There is not a built-in function for the standard deviation of the Sample. We only have the one Standard Deviation study that divides by N.

The only way you could do this would be to do the calculation for the standard deviation yourself. Since you would not be looking at a lot of data points (N versus N-1 will only give a significant difference in a small number of data points), you could use the Spreadsheet Study to do this. Refer to the following:

Thanks John, yeah that's what I had in mind too, the difference shouldn't be a lot. Appreciate your help.

Standard Deviation over N number of bar.

I want to do the following, any help would be appreciated.

1) Color bar green when ask volume is over X standard deviation
2) Color bar red when bid volume is over X standard deviation
3) Calculate standard deviation over N number of bars.

Thank you!

To start with, you would use the "Standard Deviation" study and apply it to the appropriate information. To get the Bid and Ask volumes per bar, use the "Numbers Bars Calculated Values" study. Refer to the following for these:

Then to actually do the coloring, use the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study. Refer to the following:
