If I File > Disconnect for any period of time my ICE data stops downloading and I will have gaps in the charts?

This is not making sense to us. You are posting from an account that has not even logged into Sierra Chart. We cannot help.

So we know what Sierra Chart account you are using, go to Help >> Support Board from within the Sierra Chart desktop program and then post in this thread telling us this is done.

This is what is being referenced here. ICE products won't show data when SC is logged out.

Logged out at first vertical line, and back in at the second.

This is very basic. It means your CQG account is not authorized for historical ICE data:

No matter what CQG or your broker tells you, the simple fact is your CQG account is not authorized for the historical data for that symbol. That is absolute fact. Once again no matter what your broker says, it is not true. We have seen this problem, more than 100 times if not more. And clearing firms, will insist over and over again, that the user is authorized for historical data when they are not. CQG needs to help with this.
