Hi, I have an office I trade out of and I like to have access my charts/trades at home over the weekend. Also, I would like to be able to trade from my home laptop when traveling. I saw in another post that you recommend a dedicated server over cloud based? Is that still the case? If so, do you know of any reputable ones? Thanks! |

We (Sierra Chart) do not make any recommendations on how to do this. It is completely up to you as to what works best for you in this situation. You can trade directly from each of the individual platforms, or you can setup a central server that you access remotely from the other setups. A couple of items of note with regards to using individual computers: - With the package you are on (Package 11) you are allowed to run Sierra Chart concurrently on 3 computers. - The exchange data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed only allow for 1 computer to connect at a time, unless you pay a second set of exchange fees, in which case you can have two computers simultaneously. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously - If you want the same chartbooks with any updates you make from system to system, then you will need to ensure that you copy that chartbook from one system to the other, or take it with you on a USB drive. Thanks. When you say concurrently, can you please clarify.... I currently have Sierra on 2 laptops, if I add it to my work PC does that mean I would not be able to download it on another computer? Or does 3 concurrently mean I can't be running them all at the same time? |

Yes this only applies to running Sierra Chart instances at the same time. You can install Sierra Chart on as many computers as you want. But there is a limit to the number of systems you can use it on at the same time which is two or three depending upon your service package.
