I have a new computer that I want to set up Sierra Chart on and I want it to have the exact look and settings that it has on my current (old) computer.
Please give me the instructions on how to do this. Thanks.

I assume I would use the 1st Section ("Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data...") and not the other 3 sections, correct?

Correct, the link was just to that first section.

One other Question: There is a folder called "Data". Then there is a file farther down called "Data Files Folder" (this is a document file). When the instructions say copy files from the "Data Files Folder", does that mean the "Data" folder?

Completely ignore the file named "DataFilesFolder.txt". You do not want to move that file to the new installation. But even if you do, if you have the option for "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Always Use 'Data' Folder in Main Folder" then it really does not matter.

The instructions are telling you to copy the files in the 'Data' folder from one system to the 'Data' folder on the other system.

Just to be clear, the Data Folder, in addition to Files, has 3 Folders (ChartbookGroups, ChartbookSharing, and MarketDepthData). I should also transfer these 3 Folders in addition to all of the files in the Data Folder, correct?

If I don't transfer the *.scid files to my new computer, will all of my charts from my old computer still show up and be populated with data?

Yes, you should transfer those 3 folders from the Data folder on the old computer to hte new one.

You do not need to transfer the .scid files - these contain the intraday data itself that make up the bars. If you do not copy them, the data will be redownloaded for the charts. But if you do copy them, then you do not need to wait for the data to be redownloaded. So it's up to you as to how to handle this particular item.
