Just updated to Version 1192 and the replay function just hangs and will not run? What gives?

You may be trying to start a replay a point in time where there is no trading activity. Try increasing the replay speed to 1000. Well, this is really strange. The replay used to work yesterday - and now it does not work!? Same problem. It just hangs there with no charts and with the message "Downloading Continuous Contract Data". Now I don't know why as I was just trying to replay the charts - and the continuous contract data should have been downloaded already? HELP!!!!

There appears to be an IB issue with the downloading of historical data. Therefore, disable the Continuous Futures Contract option on the charts you are replaying. Ah, why is historical data not already downloaded into the data files? I can see those .scid files growing bigger everyday? If nothing else, I want to work with the replay of charts and historical data even without an Internet connection. Moreover, it does not work without connecting to the Internet - but in the past it works even without internet connection. Please fix as it is critical for back testing. We cannot say without careful examination of the log and we are not going to do that being you are using IB data. Working with IB historical data is a struggle and we will not provide support for that. And even though the reliance on the Interactive Brokers historical data has been minimized in newer versions of Sierra Chart, it is still used. Therefore, the proper solution is to use the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed The general procedure to resolve an incomplete data issue with a Continuous Futures Contract chart is to re-download the data as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading Do that and see if it resolves the problem. However, it does not make sense why it would manifest in an ongoing message that you saw on the charts indicating the continuous futures contract data is being downloaded. May be if I summarize it, it may help as it appears that it is working perfectly fine on my 1187 version installed on another computer. 1. After your first reply above, it seems to work fine without me doing anything. That was about a week ago. 2. The problem started again today. But I did not keep track of the timing as to whether it is weekends only. It could have started last night after all markets closed. 3. Yes, the screen shot I sent above just persists and nothing changes - I have to close the program. 4. Version 1187 still works with replay - with or without internet connection and with or without connection to IB. 5. Version 1192 works with stocks data and replay would run normally. Hope it helps.

There appears to still be an issue with replay. This means data is being downloaded . So the question is why is the download not completing. Restart Sierra Chart, open only one single chart and no other charts.
