Hi team! In some cases, my entry will fill and then my target will appear on screen and be filled at the same bar, and then there may be a second entry on that same bar after the first order is filled.

However, the second order doesn't always have a limit order appear on the chart, and it doesn't close except as a market order stop loss, or closed out manually.

This is a problem for me because I want to have my spreadsheet controlled algorithm trade only one order at a time, and as soon as an entry order is placed, a limit order is supposed to be placed as well.

Is there a known setting in Sierra Chart where I can make sure that even with the entries being triggered in the same bar, that each entry has a matching limit order? This only happens when it's in the same 5 minute bar.

Again, I'm only trying tk trade one order at a time, not multiple orders in the same direction

When you have this occur, open "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and see if there is anything in there related to why the Limit order is not being placed, or maybe why it was rejected. You can post your log to this thread for us to review by following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: Providing Lines From Trade Service Log

If that does not give any information, then you need to look at your Trade Activity Log and see if there is a Limit order being created and what may be occurring with it.

If that does not give any insight, then you need to look at your setup and see why the Limit order would not be being created. There has to be a reason for it. In particular, are you setting up specific orders in the Spreadsheet or are you just using what is set in the Trade Window? Is everything set properly to allow the Limit order to be put in place when this second order comes up? What is the timing of this second order, is it occurring very quickly after the close of the first order and could this be causing an issue?

How do I get the trade servi e and trade activity logs to display information for CHART REPLAY when I'm backtesting?

At the moment, this has been occurring during backtesting. I haven't tried real-time trading sim mode with it yet, just backtesting at sometimes 2x or more speed.

You can not look at them during the backtest, but you can take a look after the backtest is done and see if there is any information in them on why the order was not placed.
