I have read the SC instructions intensively in regards to tool configuration and can't seem to figure this out: I am trying to have a drawing that is a horizontal line that extends to the right but not to the left with price at the end. Somehow I am not able to achieve this as a custom or default tool. It would look like the attached image. |

Are you specifically trying to do this through a Custom Study, or are you just having trouble understanding how to do this with the standard drawing tools?

For what you want, start with the "Horizontal Ray" this will give you the line extending to the right. The "Horizontal Ray" has an option for "Show End Point Price". To always have this option enabled when you are using the "Horizontal Ray", you need to setup a configuration that has that option set to "Yes" and then save that configuration into one of the 24 configuration options. Then you just need to ensure that you are using that configuration option when you are using that drawing tool. Refer to the following information regarding configurations: Chart Drawing Tools: Using Multiple Drawing Tool Configurations If you are only using a single configuration for that drawing for all time, then once you set it up and select that configuration, you are done. Every time you use that drawing, the same configuration will be used for it. If you want to use different configurations, then refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Creating Control Bar Buttons which Select Drawing Tool and Drawing Tool Configuration in One Step For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
