Hi again, I'm transitioning from demo to live trading. My primary instance of Sierra has been moved to symbol MESZ24-FUT-CME however my 2nd instance does not recognize this symbol. In the 2nd instance, the Data/Trade Service setting reads DTC-Sub instance [trading]. Please advise

In addition, I am not seeing any new data come in to my 2nd instance. Please advise ASAP!

It is correct that a sub-instance started with "File >> New Instance" will have the "Current Selected Service" set to "DTC-Sub Instance".

But what do you mean by the instance does not recognize the symbol? If you open "File >> Find Symbol" and open the CME exchange option, do you not get that symbol showing in the list? What do you see for MES?

Also, I see the following in my main instance when attempting to open a trade:

2024-09-17 12:56:45.326 | Teton CME Order Routing (Order reject). Info: Trade Order Error - Order increases position. Liquidation only mode. Text: Parent order. Tag: 2size_TP-MIT_10-25.twconfig. Internal Order ID: 50602. Service Order ID: 3595113. Symbol: MESZ24_FUT_CME. Account: 7PV2660 *

OK, with Find Symbol I see the correct "Futures - CME" For existing charts, when I select the correct symbol from Chart Setting/Symbol-Action/Select it works (data flows), however , when pasting MESZ24_FUT_CME directly into this field I get 'Symbol settings not found for current service" This is strange, but working now.

I read the documentation, found, and manually tried to change the setting "Liquidation Only Mode (Access Control Settings)" to No (it was set to Yes, I don't know why) but received error "Server error: Operation not allowed" Please advise

I have been in demo-only mode until today. As I have asked in my previous support request, is there ANYTHING ELSE I need to do to be ready to trade live?

Also, why don't I see my commissions listed for /MES under AccountAndRiskManagementSettings_SymbolCommissions? I set these back when I started on demo last year and it has been working in the Trade Activity Log (on demo) for a year now.

We assume when you are referring to "Demo" that you were using the "Trading Evaluator" service. That does use the same setup as you will see when connected to your Teton Order Routing Service account, but with the Trading Evaluator you were able to control the settings. Now, with Teton those settings are controlled by your broker and you can not change them.

If your Teton account is in Liquidation mode, then you need to ask your broker about this.

No, I was using the Sierra Chart (delayed) data feed, Sierra trade simulation mode was ON, and I recently switched to Teton/Denali through Edge Clear.

Please advise about the 'commissions' question above, and advise the proper place to enter commissions into Sierra for proper TAL accounting.

In order to take commissions into account in Sierra Chart, regardless of how you are trading (live or simulation mode), you need to setup the Commissions on the "Global Symbol Settings" page.

There are two options for this, one is a global value that you can enter at the bottom of the page called "Use Global Round Turn Commission". This will allow you to set a single value to be used for all symbols. Refer to the following:
Global Symbol Settings: Use Global Round Turn Commission (Global Settings >> Symbol Settings)

Otherwise, you can edit individual symbols and enter a "Round Turn Commission" value. Refer to the following:
Global Symbol Settings: Instructions

Once you have that setup, there are two places you need to ensure you have setup in order to view the commissions in your Profit/Loss. Refer to the following for these:
Chart Settings: Use Symbol Commission Setting in Trade List and Statistics Calculations (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu)

Trade Activity Log: Use Commission
