It is correct that a sub-instance started with "File >> New Instance" will have the "Current Selected Service" set to "DTC-Sub Instance". But what do you mean by the instance does not recognize the symbol? If you open "File >> Find Symbol" and open the CME exchange option, do you not get that symbol showing in the list?
