Using Continuous Futures contracts on Linked charts

Dear support,

If the option Chart Settings > Linking > Symbol is enabled, when one of the charts in a chartbook is changed to show continuous futures data, all the other charts in the layout are changed to show continuous contracts.

Is there any way to avoid this?

I want to keep symbol-based linking in a layout for all the charts, but I only want to use continuous contract on some of them - not all.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

The setting for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Continuous Contract" is not part of the linking for the symbol. So having this set for one chart will not affect another chart.

But, the Continuous Contract option does get used if you are linking the "Days to Load". Make sure this is not being linked between the charts.

Thanks John for the reply.

The `Days to Load` link is not enabled in the chartbook, there are only the Symbol, Bar Period, Scroll Position and Symbol List based links enabled.

Attaching the chartbook in question - when I change the contract to use Date Rule Rollover based continuous contract, the other chart in the chartbook changes to a continuous contract as well. When I disable to continuous contract option, the other chart changes back to single contract mode as well.

Can you please check?
Thanks in advance.

The "Bar Period" also sets the Continuous Contract option. So you would need to disable the linking of the "Bar Period" to not have the "Continuous Futures Contract" option update between the charts.
