Dear Sierra Chart Team, Description I'm working on configuring a classic 30-minute RTH TPO chart, which includes attached VbP profiles on its right side. I'm trying to display the following price references/extension lines on a TPO Chart. The goal is to have these lines cleanly formatted, meaning having the same alignments and format: A / Volume POC B / Volume VA High, Low C / Open Range High, Low (30 seconds / 5 minutes) D / Initial Balance High, Low (60 minutes) E / Initial Balance Range Extensions What's Not Working for Me The native TPO and linked VbP Profiles allow some of these lines to be drawn, but not in the desired way I'd prefere. B: Volume value area lines can’t be projected from a TPO linked volume profile through the entire day period, including the TPO profile. They will only draw over the width of the VP, which technically makes sense but is visually less clear, especially with a compressed timescale. Other drawing options, such as different extension modes (End of window, all profiles, etc.), are also unsatisfactory for achieving the desired formatting. A: The same issue as B. Not having it extend over the TPO side is more acceptable in this case when using "Until Future Intersection." However, in this mode, the label jumps on the value scale (for all extended VPOCs which have not met any intersection yet), despite setting the Horizontal Align label settings to "Right," not "Right Side Value Scale." Thus, visually this line does not have its label aligned with the other reference lines. C: The TPO Study only allows Opening Range Time Lengths in minutes, not seconds, which technically seems reasonable. However, I’m looking to map the 30 seconds OR. I also want similarly formatted line extensions as the other references, but this function is not available for this calculation. Using High/Low for Time Period Study does not work correctly on TPO charts (as clarified in the SC manual). D: Same as C regarding extension lines. Using High/Low for Time Period Study or Initial Balance Study does not work correctly on TPO charts (as clarified in the SC manual). E: They work fine. (Note I still use the Study/Price Overlay Study for this to have identical formatting style with the other lines) Current Solution To work around these issues, I’m using the Study/Price Overlay Study, as mentioned in the SC manual. This allows for different formatting options independent of the TPO chart and is the best solution for me so far. However, I am experiencing rendering/updating issues with this method. Problem I’m using the Draw Style "Dash" for the lines, which overlays the lines throughout the entire day period, which is desirable for me. It would be perfect if it only draws over the entire RTH session Period, instead of the entire day (I’m using the Overnight profile for the current day), but this is fine for me. However, the issue I'm facing is with the developing lines, which are moving over time (e.g., shifting VPOC as the session progresses): - It will make the dash line break away between the right edge of the session period and the right end of the line, as soon as the subgraph prices update. Only the right end of the line will update in real time, but all the left half will stay stale on the old price value. - Recalculating the chart or study will update and render all lines correctly again. - Resetting or changing any view configuration of the TPO profile via the context menu will update and render all lines correctly again (workaround to update the view). Screenshot/Image Uploads on the described issue: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1724934852720.png Chart with separated lines (before resetting/recalculating) https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1724934985831.png Chart correctly displayed (after resetting/recalculation) Request/Question Q1: Is this an expected behavior that can’t currently be solved, or do I have to adjust something in my workspace so that this can update correctly without manual resetting? Q2: Is there a way to show the 30-second OR on a TPO Chart, or should I use a 30-second chart and use the Study Overlay function? R1: Is it possible that there is a bug with the label configuration for the TPO attached Volume Profile's VPOC extension line? (Not showing on "Right" but "Right Value Scale" instead?) If so, will this may be fixed in the future? Thanks in advance for your efforts or any input which could help me with this matter. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-08-29 12:55:38

Q1. Do not use the option for drawing developing lines. As you can see, this does not work properly when overlaying to a TPO chart. Q2. You would need to use a separate chart to get what you want and overlay it. R1. This is not a bug, it is specifically coded in this way for a reason (we do not know why exactly, that was before our time). This would be a Feature Request.
