I am trying to make sure my charts are running at the highest efficiency I can get as to not slow down the DOM.

1. Wanted to know if having a chart with more loaded days slows down SC? ex: TPO chart... loading 360 days compared to 14 days or 7 days. Or a VpP chart?
2. Where can I precisely see the efficiency of the chart? Under >performance? and if so what do I need to look for as far as numbers?

What exactly are the numbers telling me?
Chart Drawing Time in Milliseconds:5 ms
Draws Per Second:1
Calculations Per Second:5
Average Calculation And Draw Time in Milliseconds:9 ms

3. What type off studies slow the system down the most?
4. If I have multiple Chartbooks open is computing power divided between them when I am only looking at one and the other is in the background? Does the open chartbook in the background diminish performance?
5. What is the biggest drag on SC performance other than having 30 charts open in one instance?
6. If I have a chart with the daily VbP and I "hide" the study will this increase the performance or does SC still calculate the hidden study?

Another unrelated question... Is there a way to copy a group of drawings from one chart to another chart in a different instance?

Thank you for any help increasing the speed of SC.

Tips for speeding things up: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

Other items:
1. Multiple CPU Cores means multiple instances get their own core
2. OpenGL, if supported by your GPU, will offload drawing to the GPU
3. Hiding studies improves performance without breaking the calculations
4. To copy drawing between charts in different instances, you would have to save the chartbook, and reopen it in the other instance. You can duplicate the chart to the destination chartbook. Then you could use the Copy Drawings from Chart setting. (In theory this should work. Let me know if you find otherwise.)
