Hello, I just subscribed this morning, does it takes a day before I get the correct datafeed?

Some symbols like AAPL are showing correctly, other symbols like BBY are not showing the 5 minute bars etc. Thanks

The prices are correct if I compare it to the price I see at IB in TWS. It's just not plotting the 5minute bars from today ?

I have set the intraday chart bar period to 0-05-0
and start time 09:30:00 and end time 15.59.59

Thanks

We were able to get a chart for that symbol and it is updating in real-time:
http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1408378523482.png

Restart Sierra Chart and open a chart for it again. Also is the time zone in Sierra Chart set to US Eastern time? It will need to be based upon the Session Times you have set the chart to.

There is a problem, I have a sscreenshot where it dit not showed the 5 minute bars, I right clicked the chart and did 'delete and download' data and there they are.

So apparently there was a moment this morning for over an hour that i could not have a backfill on certain instruments.

Thanks

There could have been a problem where there may have been a connection problem to the server affecting historical Intraday data download for all symbols. Does not make sense that it would affect only some symbols.

To get all of the data in the chart, select Edit >>Delete All Data and Download.

I have around 30 stocks on my watch list with watch list mode on, I click every 20 seconds on a different stock to have my screen on my laptop. None of them is updating live on my screen? I have to each time right click and do delte all data and download.

I use the sierrach chart data feed, the checkbox is enabled and M is displayed on chart, for the trading I'm connected to TWS with Interactive brokers and I'm running the latest prerelease.

??? Why is this ?

--
update: I removed the trading DOM in seirracharts (who showed the bid ask level II from IB? to place orders) and now it seems to update, could it be sierracharts gets confused if I click to fast to change a lot of instruments so that IB stops feeding the level2, sierracharts also stops?

At the time you have the problem, let us know the symbol and then provide a copy of the Message Log by following these instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#log

Also in order for us to help with this issue, log into this Support Board from the copy where you are using the data feed by selecting Help >> Support Board . Otherwise, we are lost because we do not know what account you are using.

Ok this is a big problem. I have now around 30 stocks in my watch list. I click all the time (cycle) true them, most of them DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOAD THE PREVIOUS BARS!!

Symbol I clicked and chart was shown was BITA and it didn't even showed in the message log that sierracharts requested data for the symbol

Imho, there is something wrong with the code in the watch list mode that requests data when you click on symbols to view the chart from the 'assosiated watch list'.

Log is emailed to you.

I'm sick of right clicking 500 times a day 'delete and download data'

Apparently sierracharts isn't made for stock trading. With equity, you have a lot of stocks you monitor for setups, clicking fast on your watchlist.

I stopped trading on sierracharts for equity and canceled my datafeed until I know this is fixed.

I'm back to another platform, and I hate it.

Thank you.

There must be some other explanation for the problem. The historical Intraday and historical Daily data and Real-time data updates for the symbol have all been started and handled properly without any problem:

When Sierra Chart starts a download and real-time updates for a symbol, in this case BITA, it will continue to receive real-time data and update the Intraday data file and the current quote data. When you change back to this symbol in a chart through the Associated Watch List or open a new chart for it, there will not be a new historical Intraday data download because there is no need to. The chart is already up to date and updating. It could be just that you have a misunderstanding of that.

If it is not up to date, then a couple of reasons could be the Session Times are not set correctly or you are not scrolled to the end of the chart.

At the time you have this problem, post an image of the chart by following these instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image

We see absolutely no evidence of any issue from the Message Log and there is no reason for there to be a problem.

We have not identified any issue at this time. As we said, there must be some other explanation. Must be something simple.

I must honestly say that the internet here is not 100%, I'm in a hotel room, so maybe this is the issue?

I will be back in the office Monday and check from there. Thanks for the help.

The Message Log shows no Internet connection problems that we could tell.

We think there still is some other reason. When you have the problem, make sure you are scrolled to the end of the chart and post an image of the chart . If the image can include the Sierra Chart title bar showing the current time, that will help us.

Before you post the image, do not perform a manual Intraday data download. There should be no reason for that at all.
