What is the problem? This is a spread. So there is not a lot of trading and not a lot of market depth levels.

Its an exchange traded product with its own book.

Its fixed itself now. This is what its meant to look like (first pic). I don't know what brought it back.

Here is another thats gone. CL (second). Even when I disconnect the data and reconnect, or close the chart book and reopen, it won't fix it.

Thanks

Yea sorry Ill explain further.

If you look at the DOM on the right in the first picture youll see I have 10 bids and 10 offers, nice and clean like they should be.

Then on the second picture you can see I only have a few bids and a few offers, and the green from the bid column just randomly goes up the top. What you cant see in the picture is that those bids and colours are flashing in and out as well. I have another ladder on other software so Im 100% certain this is not how its meant to look.

If I log out of everything and back in again it'll fix it but surely there is an easier way?

To add to the above. Here is what Sierra Charts ladder shows me, versus what is actually happening in the market.

But the Sierra Chart ladder only does that if its been live for over a day or two. It doesnt happen straight away.

FYI: There is a slight delay in when I took the two screenshots so the orders figures aren't exact but you can see the general point.

Therefore, we need to know how this is set in the main instance:

Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service .

The issue must relate to symbol settings. Otherwise, it does not make sense why there would be a problem like this. It should never happen.

CQG. It will happen for both ICE and CME calendar spreads. I use Denali for the CME calendars, thru the Find Symbol on the sub-instance.

It will not surprise us there is this issue, with with CQG ICE data.

Not sure we can help with that.

But for CME data we can.

We want you to update the symbol settings, in both the main instance and sub instances of Sierra Chart:

Follow the instructions here to update the Symbol Settings:
Global Symbol Settings: Update Global Symbol Settings

And the charts that are using the spread symbols we want you to apply the updated symbol settings following these instructions:
Global Symbol Settings: Update/Apply Symbol Settings to Charts

We updated the settings for CL and HO Calendar spreads.

Also, next time you notice this problem we want you to reconnect Sierra Chart with File >> Reconnect both in the sub instance were you notice this and the main instance. There is not a need to do anything more than a reconnect. We will want to know if that resolves the problem.

In this example, I have two charts, one above the other. The top is the Jun/Aug Gold Calendar Spread, the bottom is the Aug/Oct.

You can see that the book is not working in the top. There is data coming thru somewhere tho because you can see the 1485 at the bid at -23.5 on the Market Depth Historical Graph.

We do not see why, the spread with in the leg GCM24 would be providing any data. That contract is not active.

Update: Actually that contract still has activity but it is a lot less.

What is the exact symbol of the chart? If you are using a Trade symbol we need to know that as well.

it happens on all CME and ICE calendars spreads. Not on Eurex though.

Give us the symbol. We have to set up specific symbol settings for the spreads.

But we will not be setting up symbol settings for ICE spreads.
