Dear SC Support Team, I noticed earlier this week that the function "Open Files On Startup" is delayed. In the past, the chartbooks I had in the associated list opened immediately as soon as the main SC window was open after starting the platform. Now it takes more than a minute before the chartbooks get opened automatically. I hope you can do something about it in order to make it faster again? (I'm on SC version 2627.) Thank you. |

There has always been a delay, with opening Chartbooks. If there any files that need to be downloaded, those will be downloaded first. There is a delay until the data feed is connected. All of this is normal. Make sure Sierra Chart is set to connect to the data feed on startup. This is not version specific at all. Well, I have been using Sierra Chart for years with the "Open Files on Startup" function, and it has always instantly opened the charts as soon as the platform opened and the data feed was connected. That it takes more than a minute now is new and definitely not normal. But who knows, maybe the delay is caused by one of the other files that - as you mentioned - are downloaded prior to the chartbooks, for whatever reason.
