Problem with SC Trading Evaluator account

Hello Support,

As of this morning I am not able to place new trades in SC Trading Evaluator account. I have an open position on this account which I am also not able to liquidate.

It generates following message in the Trade Service Log:

2024-03-28 09:46:33.729 | Trading Evaluator (Order reject). Info: Trade Order Error - Symbol not found in margin data. Margin requirement not known for symbol. Margin calculation <= 0. Invalid. Internal Order ID: 93121. Service Order ID: 9239161. Symbol: GCM24. Account: Futures-Normal *


The account has plenty of margin to work with but I have adjusted the funds just in case to increase them.

Same error message is being generated for any other symbols - NQM24 and ESM24.

Could you please advise?

I have tried disconnecting SC and connecting back to Trading Evaluator [trading] but the problem is still there.

It appears that multiple users are experiencing the same exact issue with Trading Evaluator service as of this morning.

SC, could you please look into this and fix it?

Just logged in to post same issue -- I am getting the same error in my logs and cannot place any simulation trades.

However when I trade on my live AMP account it works fine

I am on MESM24

Hey JBTFD, yes - live trading account is not affected for me as well. It's only Trading Evaluator that is not allowing orders or position liquidation for all symbols, throwing an error related to symbols not being found in margin database.

Hoping SC can identify the problem and fix it soon.

SC is pretty good at solving issues quickly. I looked into the archives when others had this same error message and often times it was due to the exchanges or broker services that cause this error.

Regarding the Trading Evaluator service, it is possible to disable the margin requirement check. It can be disabled with this account option:
Trade Account and Risk Management: Require Sufficient Margin For New Positions (Margin Settings)

This problem has been resolved:
I have an open position on this account which I am also not able to liquidate.

So that you can close a position even if the margin requirement is unknown for the symbol.
