Hi, I would like to use Market with protection orders for my ACSIL automated trading system. As stated by the CME order types doc : https://www.cmegroup.com/confluence/display/EPICSANDBOX/Order+Types+for+Futures+and+Options#OrderTypesforFuturesandOptions-MarketOrderwithProtection A market order with a maximum accepted fill or canceled if not filled at desired price. I have the read sierra doc but could not find those order types. How to I setup those orders in ACSIL. Thanks

Market-with-Protection isn't an order type. The "protective" aspect is automatically implemented by the exchange. See this thread: Attached stop order turns into stop limit order Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-03-26 20:45:58

Ok thank you, I read the CME doc and indeed it is automatic. So to avoid slippage with market order would it be best with Market-limit orders ? I does not clearly says what happens in case of slippage. The only explanation is about partial fills. I would like to know if the market order is not filled at the desired price, does it become limit order or get slipped like a market order ?
