Hi

How do I use formula to add minutes to the next cell

E.g in cell AA3 I entered timevalue(“09:30:00”) and in AB3 I want to add 5 minutes and 8 minutes in AC3 , How can I address it in a formula instead of typing the exact time ?

Thanks

There are a number of ways to do this. Probably the most straightforward, at least for most people, is to use the "TIME()" function to do what you want. Refer to the following:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SpreadsheetFunctions.html#TIME_Function

For example, in cell AB3 you would have the following formula to add 5 minutes to the value in AA3:
=AA3 + TIME(0, 5, 0)

That is how the time is stored internally.

Select those cells and select "Spreadsheet >> Number Format" and set it to "Time". Refer to the following:

So you want the values of the Subgraph to show as a time text on the chart? Like this 10:15:00?

We would probably have to add support for that. We can do that.

You can display the values as Time in your chart, but you can only be displaying Subgraphs from the Spreadsheet Study that are Time items, any other Subgraph has to be Hidden or Ignored.

For instance, if you want to display column AO as time, then set the "Draw Style" to "Value of Subgraph" and set the "Size/Width" to something you will be able to read (start around 10) and set all other subgraphs to either "Ignore" or "Hidden". Then on the "Settings and Inputs" tab of the study settings window set the "Value Format" to "Time".

You will be able to view the values for the subgraph as time in the chart.

We are not sure what exactly you are asking in terms of "but only one per time line". If you just want to display the time from a cell for the most current bar (i.e. the value in Row 3 of the spreadsheet) then use the "Text Display for Study" to do this, and use the same theory as above - that is, reference the Spreadsheet Study and the Column/Subgraph you want and then set the "Value Format" to "Time".

You are displaying that value in Region 1. Since the Time is a very small value (less than 1) it is trying to display at that level. If you want to display this in Region 1, then you will need to set the Scale to Independent.

Also, depending on what the values are like, you may want to have the values be in one line across the graph. To do this, you need to expand the scale for that study so there is a large range of values displayed, which will cause the numbers to appear as a single row. To do this with the scale set to Independent, you would need to add the "Left Side Scale", and then set the Scale for the Spreadsheet Study to enable "Use in Left Side Scale". Then you can adjust the scaling.

You can turn off the Left Side Scale once you are done with the adjustment, if you do not want it displayed further.

Refer to the following regarding the Left Side Scale:
Chart Settings: Use Left Side Scale (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Scale menu)
