1. Real-time Chartbook sharing is released and operational. We have to document how this functionality works. It is accessible through File >> Chartbook Sharing >> Sharing Interface. What this feature does, it allows you to share a Chartbook with one or more other users, even yourself, in other instances of Sierra Chart. As you make changes to the Chartbook, those changes are relayed to the other users in real time. There is no need to manually save the Chartbook. Changes are detected, saved and relayed automatically. The actual chart data is not shared. Every user needs to have their own market data and pay exchange fees, in the case of real-time data from exchanges. 2. Server Side Profit and Loss Management is now available. Refer to this video: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/VideoLibrary.php&Video=Server_Side_User_PL_Management This is available through the broker Stage 5. For a list of brokers , and links to their webpages, refer to: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions 3. Sierra Chart now has network time protocol (NTP) functionality. This requires the very latest version which is 2609. It can be enabled through Global Settings >> NTP Settings. You can limit the messages displayed in the log through Global Settings >> Message Categories. NTP functionality provides super accurate setting of your local computer clock. It will maintain high accuracy to a network time server. Version 2609 is being released in about an hour. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Update: This was an incorrect determination what is described below. It was a problem that we noticed when under the debugger, and we had paused execution for a long time, many hours. This problem described below does not actually exist. The NTP Client when it is destroying, releases all resources and returns back to OS the time adjustment control. 3. Regarding NTP. We see a problem with it where when Sierra Chart is not running, your computer clock will become inaccurate. We think this is because Sierra Chart is no longer maintaining the small adjustments that need to be done to keep it accurate. We will get this resolved this week. For now disable NTP. When Sierra Chart running, the NTP functionality is working fine. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We now notice that this thread was hidden. It is now visible. Regarding post #3, that problem with NTP has been resolved. Upon further review it did actually exist and it is resolved in newer releases. Regarding Realtime Chartbook Sharing. We have added this new study: "Trading Levels - Local Data" (internal study identifier 525) This study lets you define trading levels through the inputs of the study. You can then add this study to a chart, create the levels that you want and then set up this Chartbook to be shared with others. This is a way of sharing trading levels rather than using the older "Trading Levels" study. This study is in the latest release of Sierra Chart.
