Hello support,

I setup different sound alarms in my chart studies. Being in rangeBar Chart, when the market accelerates and triggers multiple sounds alarms in a row, I notice a big delay for the sound alarms to appear. And between each alarm to be played, there's a space of 3-4 seconds. So sound alarms are sometimes late of 10-20 bars graphically. How can we decrease the time between two sound alarms to be played to 0.5-1 sec ?

Thanks for your help.

In the newest release, we have experimented with a change where any sounds that are queued up, will be immediately played but they will terminate the prior sound playing. This will help somewhat but we are not sure this is a good solution.

If you notice a space of 3 to 4 seconds, most likely this is going to be a system issue or the result of a sound file being longer in time than you expect. You need to shorten your sound files as short as possible. You may be surprised to find out the actual time of them is longer than you realize.

After experimenting for a few hours it seems to me it might be a good solution. Please try to keep it, at least as an option.

Thank you.

For user nepher: you can edit and shorten your alert sounds (wav files) using a sound editor software.

I am using a free one (Free Sound Editor) and it works well enough for the task. I hope it helps you too.

Using Audacity, you can trim the silence off both ends of your alerts. The shorter the alerts the better.

In the latest version of Sierra Chart there is a new option:
Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Wait for Prior Alert Sound to Finish before Playing Next Queued Sound

Hi I wanted to make a request.

Would it be possible to make sure that when there are so many alerts all together, the program plays only the last one by cutting the sound of the one currently playing?

Even if I remove the delay between the two signals, sometimes it creates an infinite tail that I don't need to hear.

Resetting the queue is also inconvenient.

It would be really interesting to delete the queue and play the last audio directly by cutting the one currently playing.

Would it be possible to do it?
