Chartbook is Missing The Bar with Tabs for the Charts?

My chartbook is missing tabs for each chart within the chartbook. There use to be tabs at the bottom of an opened chartbook that would display the charts that were within the chartbook. Similar to a navigation bar with tabs showing the # of each chart within the chartbook. Even if a chart was hidden, this bar with tabs would allow me to select the chart I want to view and open. The bar with those tabs is now missing. Hopefully, I am being clear with my explanation. Has this feature been removed or is there a way I can put it back on the chartbook? Thanks.

Refer to the following specific setting:
General Settings Window: Use MDI Window Tabs (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Windows >> Window Tabs)

If that is not it, then check the other settings in that section for where the tabs may be located (perhaps at the top with the Chartbook tabs).

Hi, i'm having the same issue with the latest download. My tabs bar at bottom of screen which is used to navigate the different chart windows in the chartbook is gone. Have made sure the windows MDI is set to yes, showing at bottom, in general settings - windows, but to no avail. Any other suggestions please?

If the setting for "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Windows >> Window Tabs >> Use MDI Window Tabs" is set to "Yes", then the only reasons the chart tabs would not be showing is if all the charts are hidden, or if all the charts are detached.

Thanks for your reply John. I've checked, the full list of charts are available from thr drop down menu CW (beside Help). They are tiled vertically under the Chartbook title. Click on any one of these, go to the widow tab beside global settings, and they are attached and unhidden. I think this happened to me before and I went back to a previous version, and the chart tab was back along the bottom as normal. Maybe this is the best thing to do, although it's confusing. There is a lot of charts, 20 plus, could that be an issue?

The number of charts is definitely not an issue. But if you do have a large number, then refer to the following setting and the one below it, that relate to how the tabs are viewed/accessible:
General Settings Window: Support Multiple Rows (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Windows >> Chartbook Tabs)

And there have not been any changes to the tabs in a long time, so it is not a release issue.

Please get us an image of your Sierra Chart so we can get a better feel for what you are seeeing.

Also, check the following setting and see where the MDI (chart) tabs are set to be displayed:
General Settings Window: Show MDI Tabs At (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Windows >> Window Tabs)

Below is a basic chart screenshot, everything is as previous versions minus the chart tab on bottom.

The image is of just the chart. We need to see an image of your entire Sierra Chart main window. Select "Edit >> Screen Images >> Save Main Window to File". When the image is saved, your Message Log will come up and give you the path the image. Attach that image to this thread.

We can not access the image on your system. You need to attach the image in that location to this thread for us to see it. Within a post there is an option for "Add/Edit Attached Files" at the bottom of where you type in. Select that button to select the image and upload it to the thread. The general information for how to do this is here:

Is it just the one chartbook that does not have them showing or is it all of them?

Please do the following:
- Select "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Windows"
- Change the setting for "Use MDI Window Tabs" to "No".
- Select OK to close the window.
- Exit from Sierra Chart.
- Start Sierra Chart.
- Select "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Windows"
- Change the setting for "Use MDI Window Tabs" to "Yes"

Let us know if this resolves the problem or not.

Yes it was all chartbooks John. That did resolve things, the tab is back where it belongs. Many thanks for your assistance.
