Dear Support, I attached two screenshots. I observed that the monthly historical candles for NQ have a different closing price in Sierra Charts vs. Tradingview. The opening price matches but the closing price is different. When selecting historical charts the session times are set and cant be changed. Therefore i cant play around with different session times. Can you please explain to me, why the candels are different in sierra charts? |

Hi there, as a long time user I do read through the instructions before I post here. Thanks for the link but to me it is not helpful. I attached another screenshot, please have a look. Could it be that it is a glitch within the platform? I pulled up an intraday day chart for June 9. The intraday chart shows a high of day at above 14860. When I look at the historical daily chart however, the high comes in at 14685.75, so it is a whopping 200 points off. Since trading view displays the high of day equally for an intraday chart and a historical chart I really dont understand why it is different in Sierra Chart. Especially since the historical chart should display all data for the trading day, accoording to your documentation, I dont understand why the actual high is not included |

Couldn’t you define internally that the historical chart runs from 6 pm to 4.59.59 pm NY local time so that the actual day in fact contains its respective data?

You are comparing a date in June between two continuous futures charts where one is back adjusted and one is not! Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you both for your answers and sorry my unknowingness, but I still don’t get it. The documentation in the links you sent says that the historical chart displays more data than an intraday chart if the intraday isn’t set to 24 hours. My problem persists that the historical chart doesn’t show the highest printed price as illustrated before in my screenshots. It doesn’t change anything when I play around with adjusted and none. So my simple question: is there a way to have the historical chart display the daily, weekly and monthly data in the way how I need it?

If you want your Daily, Weekly, and Monthly data to be exactly the same as your Intraday data, then you need to create the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly data from intraday data. You will NOT get the same result comparing daily historical and intraday data - these are simply different due to the information given previously. Refer to the following for how to create higher time-frame charts from Intraday data: Chart Session Times: Creating Daily Bars with Custom Session Times For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
