Hello. Im trying to limit the data feeding the stack pull within the Numbers bar calculated data V2 study by means of "number of market depth levels within the chart settings tab market depth". I would like any calculation being done based on 10 levels of bid/ask instead of all. Plotting 2 charts with one having 40 for depth and calculation and another with 10 (see attached 1 chart) , results in the same value for SG-9 in the study (sum pull/stack ... ) I assume there either no way of limiting how many MD levels feed the indicator or Im doing it wrong. Pls advise. |

You can do this on a single chart by using the following setting: Global Trade Settings Windows: Maximum Bid/Ask Market Depth Pulling/Stacking Levels (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello and thanks for the answer. I followed your instruction for single chart. I have 2 charts to compare. I click on one to highlight it and follow your settings and change to 10. Click apply and ok. I then do the same for second chart but with 40. Still both charts show almost the same values. I even added highest h/l over N bars input length 1 to make sure maybe they fluctuate to different values. But no luck. The difference should be more obvious as one is fed by 40 levels and one is fed only by 10. Especially during the 1 min interval fluctuation. Please advise. |

Please add the Pulling/Stacking columns to the DOMs so you can see what the actual values are and that one is limited to 10 levels and the other to 40. Additionally, you should also be able to see the sum of the Pulling/Stacking at the top/bottom of the numbers (you may have to compress your chart to see these). They should match up to what is in your Numbers Bars Calculated Values study.

I followed your instruction. The result is partly correct in the way, that once I change from 10 to 40 MAX, I can see the change in the amount of levels being calculated but, that part of your solution stating that for each single chart this would be set by choosing one DOM , is in correct, meaning, when I change for one DOM, the other receives the same update and changes also from 10 to 40 or any other change. So back to my original question, how can I have one chart fed by X levels and the other by 2X pls advise |

Sorry, we were confusing a few of the settings. What you are seeing is correct - the setting for the number of Pulling/Stacking levels is a global setting, so it will change the number of levels for both charts. The only total solution would be to use a separate instance (File >> New Instance) and set up the number of levels separately there. Refer to the following for more information on sub-instances: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Instructions For Sharing Data Using Sub Instances (Easiest And Recommended Method) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi, it seems the Total for the Stack/Pull is not correct, pls find the screenshot I have grabbed today. Manually calculating the Ask StackPull doesn't yield that Total highlighted at the top, can you pls check ? Also is there a way to show % along with Total for StackPull data ? |

We are not certain if that -139 is a pulling stacking value or the sum. We would need to see above that level to verify that it is the sum value that you are seeing. Typically the sum is a different color, but we cannot tell due to the highlighting. Also, the only good way to look at the Pulling/Stacking data for live data is to disconnect and then look at the information. Hi, that was definitely the last level as I have set the No. of levels = 10 and it was a different colour too (In black compared to all Green )which is visible if you see closely. Pls find another Bid Stack level from today , the sum doesn't add up clearly if you add up .. There's a setting 'Adding the latest trade volume to the BidAsk Stacking' etc .. could that have any role ? |

Please let us know what the following are set to on the "Trade >> Trade DOM Settings >> Other" for the DOM you show in the last image you sent: - Max Bid/Ask Depth Pulling/Stacking Levels - Limit Maximum Pulling Stacking Value to Current Depth Quantity - Add Trade Volume to Pulling Stacking Value for Price For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I have Trade > Chart DOM Settings , not TRade DOM settings - Max Bid/Ask Depth Pulling/Stacking Levels -- was set to 0 (But it was set to 40 in the Chart > Chart settings > Market Depth ) - Limit Maximum Pulling Stacking Value to Current Depth Quantity - Yes - Add Trade Volume to Pulling Stacking Value for Price - Yes And it seems the , Chart > Chart settings > Market Depth > Maximum Pulling/Stacking is getting reset to 0 , even if I set it to 40 from time to time. |

Sorry - yes, Chart DOM Settings is what we needed. There are two places where the Maximum Pulling/Stacking can be set. One is a global setting that is in "Trade >> Trade DOM Settings >> Other" and the other is per chart in "Chart Settings >> Market Depth". Use whichever one you want to. Whichever is set to the smaller number will be what is used. Set one of them to be the number of levels you want to see. Then select File >> Disconnect to disconnect from the data feed. Then look at the numbers in the DOM and see if they add up to the total that is listed.
