New SC spreadsheet functionality

If I understand correctly, the Non-.NET/CLR version of SC is soon going to be the main release. Therefore I'm testing this version, especially the new spreadsheet functionality at the moment.

My experience with the new spreadsheet functionality has been very disappointing so far! Here are a few questions/comments:
- Isn't it possible to use the same Chart Data Output Sheet Number and Formula Source Sheet Number in different spreadsheet studies in the same chart?
If I try this, SC crashes (gets closed w/o waring). In the old system this could be done w/o problems.

- I understand, that the formulas are not "converted" from the old to the new system when opening a chartbook with spreadsheet studies created with the old system and opening it in the Non-CLR verion.
If I copy the formulas "by hand" though, SC often times crashes (especially with long formulas).

Are you aware of these things? Will they be resolved?

Is it reasonable to already test the new system, since obviously there are still some major problems (in the spreadsheet functionality)?
If these can not be resolved in a satisfying way, how long will the old system (CLR version) be supported and updated?

Thank you,
Tobi

Not to worry.

We will fix this.

Soon we will be adding support to copy formulas from the old CLR spreadsheets to the new spreadsheets.

If I copy the formulas "by hand" though, SC often times crashes (especially with long formulas).
We will solve this. This kind of problem is totally unacceptable and we were not aware of this. Can you give us a step-by-step procedure to reproduce. Or just post the particular long formula you are using so we can test it. The soonest we get this problem reproduced, the sooner we can resolve it.

Are you aware of these things? Will they be resolved?
No and Yes. We have very high standards and these problems are completely unacceptable. They will be immediately resolved.

Is it reasonable to already test the new system, since obviously there are still some major problems (in the spreadsheet functionality)?
Yes it is. We will resolve these problems.

Thank you for your detailed answers and your willingness to get this fixed quickly!

I've attached an example chartbook in the old version (test.cht and test.scwbf) and in the new version (test-nonCLR.cht and test-nonCLR.scss).
E.g. when you try to copy the formula in Sheet2, column K from the old version spreadsheet to the Non-CLR version spreadsheet, SC crashes.
Too, when I try to add another spreadsheet study, also with Chart Data Output Sheet Number 2 and Formula Source Sheet Number 2 in the Non-CLR version, SC crashes.

Hope this helps to figure out the mistakes.

Have the issues described above been fixed in Non-.NET/CLR version 1155 or 1156?

Yes. But there are some performance improvements we want to work on based on the formulas you are using and we have not done those yet.

However, the abnormal shutdown problems have been resolved.

Ok, I see it's working fine now. Thank you for fixing it!

Does it make sense to use/work with this version already or would you recommend to wait until you have finished the performance improvements?

Yes, it does make sense to use that version.

I've discovered a little issue. Please see the attached chartbook and spreadsheet.

Sometimes, in the Sheets 2, 5, 8 and/or 11, I get a #VALUE! message in cells K3, K4 and/or L3, L4 (and corresponding in cells M till Q).
This seems to have to do with the cells W3, W4 and/or X3, X4. Hope you can figure out what is causing this!?

As additional information, please see the attached screenshot for my Spreadsheet Settings.

Please let me know here about further steps. Thank you!
