Hi Team,

Hope all is well.

When trying to elect Gain Capital/StoneX as my executing broker in the Data/Trade Service Settings options I do not see StoneX as an option. How do I add them to the current selected service list so that I can utilize my account there?

Unless StoneX uses CQG or Rithmic for order routing, we do not have connectivity to them. You would have to ask them if they use CQG or Rithmic (we do not think they do).

Also, be aware that Gain Capital is a "legacy" connection, meaning that we do not keep up support for this connectivity, but we still make it available. But if there are changes at some point that Gain Capital makes, then we will not make any changes on our end, so the connectivity could end at any time.

I have the ability to use CQG through them. I can enable it right now. Would I then just elect CQG in the data trade service settings?

If they will allow the connectivity, then you would setup your connection to CQG by following these instructions:

Sweet thanks John, and then to confirm there are multiple levels of CQG access CQG. I assume any level be fine, do you recommend which one I choose?

If you are asking about CQG levels, then we do not know.

If you are asking about our levels (packages) then you need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages in order to be able to connect to any trading service. Refer to the information here:

And also note that we do not support data from CQG for the CME Group and EUREX. So if you need this data, you will have to get it from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to the instructions for the CME Group data here:

Hmm okay the broker just came back with they "enabled sierra chart for my account" but given what you said previously. I think CQG is probably a better option.

They had to enable Sierra Chart for your CQG account. You can now connect to CQG for your StoneX account.

Hey John,

hope you had a good weekend.

I finally got my ironbeam account to connect to sierra chart via the teton order routing connection. I also have succesfully activated and paid for a data service package (also elected to use the denali data feed option for CME contracts). But when loading a pre-built chartbook no data is coming through I checked off all CME agreements and set up the connection in the global data settings dropdown. I feel I am so close but unsure what the message log is saying. What do you recommend I do next?

Fully re-download the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >>Delete All Data and Download".

Or, in the case of a Continuous Futures Contract chart, follow these instructions:

After about a minute provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

The contract data is flowing through I can see the DOM and intraday chart templates. But I cant see the data when trying to use my chartbooks:

Disable file compression:

To setup the real-time data for the CME Group, follow the instructions at the following link:

To setup the real-time data for EUREX, CFE, or U.S. Equities, follow the instructions at this link:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges*

Once you activate an exchange, the data should start to be in real-time. It can take up to 3 minutes to get flowing. If you do not see the real-time data after that, then restart Sierra Chart.

Hi John,

Hope all is well.

I deposited some money into my brokerage account and funds have settled but the balance isnt flowing into sierra chart. I dont want to manually change it, I'd prefer it be mark to market with my broker. Can you opine on how I can get my Trade Account Monitor window updated.

For some reason my balance was debited (not reflecting in my actual brokerage balance) erroneously. I tried manually updating it but i am not authorized. any Idea what I can do here? I also keep updating but its not flowing through.

Hi John,

I have been trading micro crude fine for the last 10 months no problem, and then now im getting this error message. (attached)

Looks like teton isnt recoginizing the symbol. Any Idea what I need to do?

There was an issue with the margin information from the CME Group for this symbol. Your broker has been informed on how to resolve this for you. If you are still having an issue, then check with your broker to ensure they have applied the fix.
