Hello, I was wondering how to copy my trades through multiple accounts, when I trade from just my main account. I've heard this is possible with sierra chart using multiple instances, but was not sure exactly how to link the charts so all of the accounts take the same trade. Thanks.

It is not done with Multiple Instances. You would use the "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts" option. Refer to the following:

Hi John ,
Can you please help take this request to developers ?
Having trade copier allocate order across multiple accounts & multiple broker (all Rithimic like Apex, Bulenox, Leeloo, TopStep ).
If just one installation --> Global Setting --> Data/Trade Service Setting --> Selected Service/Server , if that can allow us add multiple PropFirm ?

ssangha84 , mbarbhaya:

how do you connect Sierra to APEX? I tried Rithmic and get a "permission denied" error. My password is 12 letters though...
Maybe Tradovate?

I just want to make it work :-)

If you are trying it for first time, you need to login to Rithimic Rtrader and sign their agreement/document .

Ensure that you got APEX accounts for Rithimic and not Tradivate.

Hi John,

I use 6 instances of Sierra Chart so that I can trade 6 different products. If I'm using the same service and data connection, could I still use the trade copier so that I can add 3-4 APEX accounts?

Thank you

Our "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts" only works within a single instance and only works when the accounts are available under a single login. Refer to the following:
Order Allocation to Trade Accounts: Introduction

If your setup with your accounts matches this, then you can use the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts.

Thanks for your reply John.

I looked over the document. If I'm using the same Rithmic login on all 6 instances just to trade other markets, could that be fine?

Thank you.

Are you referring to 6 instances of Sierra Chart? The Order Allocation to Trade Accounts functionality works within a single instance of Sierra Chart. All 6 instances can be using it, but they are all going to be working separately from each other.

Hello,

Yes I'd be using 6 instances of SC. Could you elaborate what you mean by 'working separately from each other'?

Thanks a lot for your help.

To begin with, it sounds like you are using the same login credentials to access the different APEX accounts. If this is correct, then you can use our "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts" functionality, as the various accounts are all available.

What we are trying to point out in particular, is that the "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts" is setup and only applies to that installation/instance. For example, if you set it up in Installation 1, then the trades you make in Installation 1 will be copied per the way you have setup the Order Allocation to Trade Account. But any trades you make in Installations 2-6 will NOT duplicate the trades.

You can setup multiple Order Allocation to Trade Accounts in the various installations, if that is what you want. But again, each setup will only apply to that particular installation.

Also, keep in mind that you can have different Order Allocation to Trade Accounts setup for each chart within an installation/instance.

Thank you John for your detailed reply.

How is it possible to setup Order Allocations to Trade Accounts in the other installations? I've tried creating New Trade accounts on the other installations but it's not letting me. Only the main instance is allowing me to create new trade accounts.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Just providing an update. I created New Trade Accounts yesterday on my main instance and for some reason they weren't showing up on my sub instances. However, after re-starting the platform today, all the new accounts I created on my main instance now show up on all my other (5) instances! I think I now understand what you mean by having the Order Allocations work on the other instances.

Thanks for your help!
