How does SC populate the 'Find Symbol' window? Does SC maintain a separate database of all the symbols for a given service? or is it obtained from the service in some other way? Thanks |

The symbols you see in the Find Symbol window come from Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. In the case of the DTC protocol, if you send a s_SecurityDefinitionResponse message for a symbol , then this will add the symbol and its related settings to the Global Symbol Settings.
