Restarting the computer doesn't solve this problem. Once IB is up and running, the data source seems to move from SC to IB and the [M] disappears. The lag in candle formation then becomes immediately apparent. "Interactive Brokers [trading]" is the listed "Service" in the "Data/Trade Service Settings". Some setting must be incorrect, but I don't know what it is. Appreciate your help. |

If you actually have connected to your Live account, then we need to see if there is something we are doing wrong on our side. This morning I opened the sole SC instance to which this thread refers - the one I used to access my live IB acct yesterday. Before opening IB, the charts in my chartbook displayed [M]. I manually opened IB in my sim acct. The charts were not receiving new data. I clicked 'connect to data feed'. The charts began receiving data, but the [M] was gone and the data was from IB. If there is something in the above procedure I need to alter, please let me know. |

There is a tremendous difference in the data from SC (it is far superior), as compared to the data from IB. Consequently, it is difficult (and disappointing)to not be able to familiarize myself with a new instrument (CL) in a proper sim environment (connected to my broker) and with reliable data. Is there an update on how we may be progressing toward resolving this? |

I don't know if you have done anything on your end as yet, but wanted to let you know that after sending the last Message Log (post above), I closed the IB live account; reopened it in sim; 'connected to data feed'; and the for the first time (that I am aware of) the charts still display the [M] and are receiving proper, timely data. I'm not aware that I did anything differently.

We can see that you are now getting the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for the CME. We are going to be adding some additional logging to the next release to see what the problem might be.
