Is it necessary to convert older chartbooks and update to version past 2363 for IB/Denali setup? How/where can I privately bulk convert a large number of older chartbooks together? |

Yes, it is necessary to update to the current release of Sierra Chart due to changes that have taken place by Interactive Brokers. Specifically changes to the data stream, the trading information and most recently changes to the symbols. In order to ensure that you can get data and/or place trades, you need to be on the current version of Sierra Chart along with the current stable version of the IB software. How/where can I privately bulk convert a large number of older chartbooks together?
The process to convert old chartbooks is specified at the following link: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Opening Older Chartbooks You can open multiple chartbooks at the same time, then you just need to select File >> Save All after you have them open in a particular version. It is not hard to do, even for a large number of chartbooks. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
