I have noticed that if i have a number chart up with a dom and the rest of my charts the dom uodates very slowly and is extremely jerky in its pricing, so today i created a new seperate workbook just for my numbers bar chart and the dom updated extremely quickly...I then opened my other work bok...i had 2 workbooks open and the dom on the numbers bar chart was still working extremely quickly...is there a way to have 2 workbooks open at the same time?

If you are asking how to be able to view two different chartbooks at the same time, then the only way to do this is by using another instance of Sierra Chart. The easiest way is to use the File >> New Instance option. The first time you do this the sub-instance that is created will make a copy of the chartbooks and settings from the main instance. From that point forward it is a completely separate instance and the changes made in one instance will not affect another instance. Refer to the information at the following link:
File Menu: New Instance (File)

The other option is to install a second copy of Sierra Chart. You would then need to connect this to your trading account, which could be a problem (some trading accounts see this as a second connection which they do not allow). As long as this is on the same computer as your other Sierra Chart, then the Denali data feed will work with it at no additional cost. You would need to copy the information from your other installation to get what you want in this second installation. Refer to the information here:
