Hi

The 'Show orders and positions' are not showing on any charts for any order market or limits (Only showing on the DOM) when using Rithmic via TakeProfit funded trader service.

The orders show ONLY when I'm on the sim but as soon as I move to their Live Evaluation mode to trade the orders don't show!

Tested on several charts/chartbooks, symbols, YM MYM, MES.

Are you aware of this? and a fix?

Secondly, Is there a way to use your Denali 'Live' feed when using these virtual prop firms to trade their LIVE service???, as they all use Rithmic as standard.

Note: I require the LIVE Feed not historical data, if its possible with Denali.

Thx

Can you please give us a screenshot of what you are seeing (and not seeing). So please ensure you include the DOM where you are seeing the position and the chart where you are not. Refer to the following for how to attach screenshots:

Hi John

So the orders/positions are showing on the DOM and not ANY other chart window I have setup....BUT this is ONLY in the Live environment...in the Sim its fine!

Below are screens of the sierra standard sim, as I already cancelled the firms service (Take Profit Trader - using Rithmic) as I need to see the orders on the chart to trade!

I have tried duplicating charts, resaving, different time frames, downloaded the latest SC release, etc.

BTW, I am on an iMac using Crossover to use SC (Doubt that will make a diff).

Thx

You have us a bit confused. The images you provided are when you are in Simulation Mode, but you state that everything is working correctly in that case. Therefore, why are you able to reproduce the issue now?

If you can reproduce the issue, then please attach the Chartbook for which this is occurring and give us the steps to reproduce. Refer to the following for how to attach a chartbook:

Sorry to confuse you but As I said....

"Below are screens of the sierra standard sim... ...as I already cancelled the firms service (Take Profit Trader - using Rithmic)"

I sent you those screen so you could see where specifically the orders are being shown (DOM) and where they are not being shown (CHART) ....'WHEN' I was using the TakeProfit Service.

I intend to use another trading service like this which will use Rithmic data/executions, and I dont want the same problem, and these firms will not let me test them before paying for a subscription.....so I need to get to the bottom of it before I sign up again.....if that makes sense.

So now I only have the standard SC sim to practice on, and to show you the places 'where' the orders are/not working (Even though they work fine now in your sim).

For me to replicate the issue I would have to sign up and pay for another account....which I dont wanna do before knowing if there is an issue with Rithmic and/or SC with this issue.

I thought you may have been experiencing this issue and would have a solution, as I doubt I'm the only person....also I read something similar in the support board, but no solution was offered - I think you asked the guy for more info etc.

Let me know if you can help at this stage...

Thx

Thank you for the explanation, we understand now.

Unfortunately, you are the only person to have this issue. Or at least, one of a very few - if you found a post on this same topic in the forum. It is certainly not something that occurs often (I do not remember ever coming across it myself).

Unfortunately, if everything is working properly in Simulation Mode then we need to be able to see it when it is not working properly. That is the only way we can figure it out. And there is no reason why the service you are connected to would affect this display in any way.

Please attach the Chartbook to this thread for us to try a couple of things and see if we can reproduce it. Refer to the instructions to attach a file here:

We just thought of one basic reason why the orders would not be showing in the Chart, and that is simply because the correct Trade Account was not selected in the Trade Window for that chart. Refer to the following for how to select the Trade Account:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM)

Also, if this is in a sub-instance, then that would explain it, as you may not have the following option set to Yes:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Select Non-Sim Trade Account on Entering Non-Sim Mode in SubInstances (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)

No this is not the reason, as when i was using the TakeProfit service I was trading, and my orders were showing in the DOM and executing, as my P/L was going up and down, but the positions were just not showing on the chart... In the trade account window was my TakeProfit Account number!

I hit my daily loss...so thats proof I was in the right account! lol

In any case, whether I'm in the sim or the live account my orders should show on the chart when I have that option selected in the dropdown.

Also I just checked and That Sub Instance option was set to YES as default and I haven't changed it.

Would it be helpful if I reconnect the service again? If you saw it live would you be able to better assess the issue?

As they have a 50% offer on and I don't mind to grab another account if you can resolve this....

Let me know! Thx

It would be very helpful for us to see the actual problem, but before we spend money to try and fix this we would prefer to try a few things.

The first thing we want to try is for you to get use the chartbook where you are having this issue and let us know the particular charts where this is occurring. We will try it with our Simulated Futures Trading Service and see if it reproduces. Hopefully it will and we can figure it out.

Follow these instructions to get us your chartbook:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile

Also, you have us curious, was any of this occurring in Sub-Instances? Was one of the charts in one instance and another chart in a different instance?

I haven't setup any Sub instances.

I made one initial chart book per symbol and added a chart (Mainly Numbers bars) then duplicated each chart for different time frames and studies, etc (3M, 1M, Range bars, Delta Bars, 15M Volume Profile)

I've only traded the MES, YM, MYM & CL and these were all traded on there 3M and 25 Range bar charts with Numbers bars.

I then switch the data trade settings between SC and Rithmic trading in order to trade the prop firms service.

Again, the orders are shown on the DOM but not the charts.

Thx John

Given what you have stated above about switching between SC Data - All Services and Rithmic, how did you change the symbols when you switched services? Is it possible that the chart did not get updated to the proper symbol when this switch occurred but the Trading DOM did?

We just tried the MYM chart with our Simulated Futures Trading and everything is working as it should.

Here is an image of one of the Numbers Bars charts showing the position line
https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1666371921799.png

But, we did notice that since this particular chart is setup with scaling as a Constant Range, the position line can easily move off the screen, as it then looked like the following a few seconds later:
https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1666371952152.png

We do not know that this is the issue, but we are wondering if this is another possible reason for what you are seeing?

Oh sorry I missed your message.

SO the way I switch symbols, I use the Find Symbol Button normally to find/add a symbol.

But when I switch services I use the 'Translate symbols to current service'. And that does it for me automatically. I'm only trading the YM, MYM, ES and CL.

Is this ok? Or should I do something different?

I'll test is again on the other symbols and charts on Monday and let you know!

Thx a lot for your help so far!

HI John

I just signed up for another account at Take Profit, and that issue has come back again, where I can't see orders on the chart only in the DOM.

Sim mode is off and I can see the active account in the account box. Orders and positions is selected.

I've taken a video of an order trading so you can see it working in the Dom and not showing in the chart, I open the menu so you can also see 'Show orders' is selected.

I updated to the last SC version this afternoon.

Please let me know how to proceed!

Thx

The first thing you need to do is to go to the chart, and open the Trade Window for it:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Opening Trade Window for Chart or Trade DOM

And make sure the Trade Account is set to the same account as the Trading DOM:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM)

Of course, Thats already done!

You can see in the video that the Dom is working fine, it is attached to the chart!

Orders work in SC sim mode, but as soon as I switch sim mode off and the the funded trader service on, it stops working.

I can send another video, switched to sim mode and it works perfectly....
