Can the extending rectangle config be configured differently for different chart types?

Example, on a volume profile chart, I would like to set it up to be yellow coloured nd double extended, but on a TPO chart, I would like it to be single extended and filled in blue colour instead?

Thanks

Apparently, one can save deveral "profiles", under tc1, tc2, tc3 etc. But it always defaults to tc1, and whenever loading another tc2 or tc3, it won't work and will just revert to tc1 as default and doesn't seem to change.

When you select a tool to draw with, the prior tool configuration is also selected. So, if you draw a line with tool config 2, the next time you select the line drawing tool, tool config 2 will be selected again. Each tool remembers the last tool configuration that was used for that tool.

To make use of the tool configurations, you have to properly set them up, see http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_Tools.html&CAID=#DrawingToolConfiguration

When setting up the configurations, be sure to properly save the configuration(s) by using the Apply or OK buttons. If you cancel or close the Configuration edit window without saving, then those changes will be lost.

It just will not load the tc2.. It is saved properly and have named it etc, but if I select it/load it, it just defaults to the tc1, as if the tc2 didn't even exist..

Please list the steps you are going thru to help us reproduce, as it works correctly when we use the tool configs.

Started everything from scratch and it seems to be working now.

2 questions:

1. Is there a way to rename the TC1, TC2, etc toolbard shortcuts I have added (to whatever I choose)
2. Can tc1 or tc2 be assigned as default for a given chartbook, where chart 1 is assigned to tc1 for example, chart 3 assigned to tc2, without having to click onthe appropriate TC number when moving to different charts?

Many thanks

In ver 1144, there is a new toolbar feature called Custom Drawing Tools, which allows the user to define a custom toolbar button that specifies a drawing tool and tool config pair. This allows a single click on the toolbar to select both the tool and the tool config the user wants to use.

For example, after setting up tool configs for a blue line (cfg1) and red line(cfg2), two toolbar buttons can be configured to pair the Line drawing tool with the two configs, so that a single click would allow the user to draw red and blue lines.

To use the new function, go to the customize toolbar window. In the Available ToolBar Commands, open the Tools section, and scroll down to the "Custom Drawing Tool" entries. Select one or more and Add them to the toolbar. Hit OK to save toolbar.

Once added, there are two ways to configure the button. First, you can right-click on the new button in the toolbar, which will bring up the customize dialog. You can also get to this window from the customize toolbar window, by selecting the appropriate button in the ToolBar Commands on the right side, and pressing the "Set Custom Tool" button at the bottom of the window. Once in the customize dialog, you can set the ToolBar Button Text (text on the actual button), a Tool Description, the drawing tool to use, and the drawing config to use.

Many thanks. Unfortunately, updates above 1137 seem to be making one user' study that I use and rely on, not working any more.. Bit of a pain, but if I update, my study won't be working anymore..

What study is causing issues? Please point us to the study and author if possible.
